Erm. Okay. So I woke up on Tuesday knowing that I'd been out the night before, but with absolutely no idea where. Conspicuously missing were my bag, my boots, one of my finger nails (ow)and any semblance of dignity I had formerly possesed. I have been told, however, that I had a good night. But enough about me. This was inspired by my little misadventure. I noticed I was typo-ing more than usual when I wrote it, which suggests I was still an ickle drunk. So, blame Taboo, not me.

I'm not so happy with the name of this fic. 'The Morning After' seems a bit of a cop out. It was originally called 'The Mystery of the Missing Sunshine' but since that joke only features near the begining it seemed inappropriate. I then called it addlepated but that didn't seem to fit either. So, I have up and copped out.

THere's a little smut in here but to be honest the whole fic is one big tease. I ain't so good with the NC17. Apologies.

Comment please, or I'll get drunk and mess up the formatting on your fics ;) Er, again.

The Morning After

The first thought to cross Kaylee’s mind as it neared something resembling consciousness was that something smelled really nice.

The second, more insistent thought, was that her head really hurt, sufficiently enough to push the first though from her pounding skull.

Kaylee opened her eyes. Or at least, she attempted to. It was proving more difficult than she had originally anticipated. Prising her sleep-clogged lashes apart, she squinted as her eyes became accustomed to the dim light. She stared at the ceiling that greeted her for several dazed seconds before realising that something was missing. The swirling orange sunshine she had painted there not long after moving into her bunk. She frowned. Sun’s painted on ceilings could not go missing. Could they?

She shifted slightly, planning to sit up and inspect this mystery more thoroughly, but the movement, slight as it was, sent a jolt of agony through her body. She moaned.

“Morning,

That was the hottest damn massage ever! I'm amazed Simon held out as long as he did ... I think for some smutty goodness that was plenty good - leaves just enough to the imagination ... so glad we have a new S/K writer to love!

Hod bloody damn. Wonderful description of the massage, and I loved how she chipped away at his barriers a little at a time until he finally cracked.

Oy, and how Simon behaves here sounds SOOOO much like how I imagine a friend of mine would behave in a similar situation.

Whew, so nice and hot. Keep writing that S/K!
