My mind is a shattered mirror
The only pieces I can stil see
Are confusion, mixed with pain and fear.
I look and look for the rest, all that's missing
If only I can find them all.
A piece appears in front of me,
Suddenly, like it was always there.
I grasp it quick, and look at the reflection
The piece grows larger,
It's hope.
I start to feel it and I clutch at it harder,
Not wanting to lose it again.
But the edges cut my skin
Slicing pain through me.
I drop it, looking downing to see red
I feel the pain but something else.
I was wrong.
Not hope, but deceit.
Was it really a part of me?
Too scared to lose another piece
I pick it back up, and put it with the others.
Then watch as the pieces come together,
They have turned to anger
My mirror appears to be finished
Maybe I never needed those other pieces
It looks complete.
And maybe,
That's all I need
