Zoe:

I had worked myself up into a find state of worry by the time Jayne and I made it up to the rock path that led to the front of the Cobb Ranch House. Jayne just kept squeezing my hand and humming that nursery rhyme River was singing back on the ship. When we were just outside the front door, I panicked.

“Jayne, maybe it’s too soon, maybe this isn’t proper,” I rambled and he touched my face with out saying a word. He leaned into me raising my face up to kiss me, but he stopped only inches short of my lips.

“Stop worrying she’s gonna love you,” he whispered and I relaxed. He placed a small gentle peck on my lips and then banged the front door so hard I thought he was going to knock it off the hinges.

“I’m coming! Hold your horses,” I heard a woman’s voice from the other side. “Nathan Torres, if that’s you young man I’ll tan your h-” she opened the door and found Jayne standing there, his yellow hat on wearing a big ole smile. The woman flustered and for a moment I thought she was gonna faint.

“Jayne?” she said breathlessly. She was about the same size of Jayne’s cousin Mary, she was thin, but curvaceous, and she had long curly brown hair, that had a small smattering of white strips of graying hair in it, down to her shoulders and those blue eyes. I noticed she wasn’t wrinkled, that besides a few laugh lines and crows feet she looked no older than Jayne.

Oh boy...lots of tension and secrets to muddle through here;)

Really can't wait to see how Jayne takes learning that his father is alive and finally married to his mother. Cuz I don't think it's gonna sit well, 'specially since Zoe discovered it first and didn't tell him ASAP:(

Watch the straight exposition. The Cobb family history is interesting, but stuff like that isn't something you spill to a stranger. Plus, it's somewhat of a stop action move.
