The Companion training house sat by itself on a hill in the middle of a lush, picturesque landscape. Jayne and Book finished loading Inara’s belongings into the bay as Serenity set down at the dock. As the airlock opened and the ramp dropped, they could see a welcoming party of lavishly attired young women waiting to greet them. A grin started at one corner of Jayne’s mouth and quickly spread, engulfing his entire face.

It was so bittersweet to see mal and Inara part in such a way, it damn near broked my heart. To see them part with at least some honesty between them was perfect, because I don't think my little and overly stressed heart could take any more angsty badness (goodness?).
Once again ShinyTrinket, you manage to paint the perfect picture.
Definitely keeping up the quality stuff, ShinyTrinket...even if you're giving us Core-world dining establishment portions instead of 26th century Lone Star Grill-equivilent shares;)
