Due to a family crisis, I may not be able to post as many after-"Flan" thoughts as I'd like, so...I'd just like to say THANK YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART to the California Browncoats, who went way above and beyond the call of duty to salvage the weekend for us

AND

To our BDHs who showed what good people they are for being there for the fans

AND

The Bedlam Bards for blessing us with their music even though they got screwed, too

AND

The dealers, who offered us their labors of love and were put in a very awkward position

AND

Generous Browncoats from far and wide who donated money so those of us in Burbank could have the wonderful experience Backup Bash turned out to be!

Browncoats are the shiniest people anywhere!

I'm a latecomer to Firefly. I saw Serenity first, and didn't really "get it" because I had no background on the characters or the show. Then the same friend I saw the movie with brought over her DVDs of the show, and that's all it took. I've never been this into a show before, but something about this one really grabbed me hard. I've never written fan fic before either, and I'm working on a huge one now. I've also never gone to a con (unless you count the Game Show Congress I accompanied my husband to), and I'm going to Flan II in December. So...a bunch of firsts!

About me personally...I'm married, no kids, except "fur children" (I live with way too many cats), live in Michigan, and am "of an age" where the people who know my obsession with this show are beginning to question my sanity... those, that is, who didn't start questioning it long ago!

Glad I found this site. I spend more time lurking than participating, but I enjoy it just the same.
