Part II of “The ‘Verse”—worse than the first!

Well, hopefully not worse, actually...!

This will be the second part of my fanfic “Nothin’ In The ‘Verse”. By way of introduction, Part I was set after ‘War Stories’, where Mal was having problems after being tortured. A passenger, who had been a trauma nurse in the war, attempted to help him—and...well, read the story if you wanna know, it’s posted here!

Anyway, Part II takes place after the events of the series, and before the BDM (there are spoilers for ‘Heart of Gold’), and would be a few months after "Nothin' In The 'Verse Part I". When the story begins, Book and Inara are both still on the ship, although Inara has announced she is leaving.

Mal is the main character focus here, as he was in Part I, although the entire crew takes part. And my original character, Alex the nurse/passenger, is back.

The rating for this story is PG – PG-13, mostly for swearin’ and some moderately graphic descriptions of wounds, etc.

Thanks to everyone who read Part I and left such positive feedback. I hope everyone who reads Part II enjoys it just as much!
