Yeah. I hear ya, Sigs. Sometimes I think I should stop writing about what I plan on doing because those are liable to change so easily.
Sounds like you're making good progress as well. 
I remember why I lost interest in working on the bathroom, but wish I had just done one little thing every day instead of always cramming everything in all at once. There are a lot of little steps. Most of them need to be done in order and there is a certain amount of drying time in between.
The ceiling is cut in twice really good, but even after two coats with the roller I'm going to want to do a 3rd coat. I don't know if that's because I used a thin roller or because the ceiling just really needed all that paint. For walls that have already been painted, they have seemed to suck up a bit more paint than I'm used to seeing.
The good news is that I only have to roll it once more and I don't need to cut it again. I should be fine getting wall paint up shortly.
But then I realized that even though I had just put wood filler on this morning and I'm going to have to wait at least until tomorrow to shape that, I still needed to paint my window first, before the walls could be painted. Cutting into the window is easy. Cutting the window into the wall is harder than cutting the ceiling into the wall. So I've got to put 2 coats on everything outside and on the face of the window and let that dry good before I do any wall paint.
I remember about a week ago I was excited about possibly having the first coat of wall paint up by the end of that day. I was nowhere near ready for that. And then I got my mind on other things for a week or so and came back to it and did it to myself again.

Finally got that first coat of paint up.
I'm on the fence right now about doing the window wall darker now. I think the white tub already does what the accent wall would have accomplished. And the white window/door trim and door really pop with that grey color behind it, where the difference between the vanity and cabinets will be quite a bit more subtle.
I think I thought those two colors were further apart on the spectrum than they are, like down on the first floor, but now that I am starting to see it all together, the difference isn't all that great. I'm going to put up another coat today despite the work that still needs to be done and make a decision when it dries. If I'm good with it, I could put those quarter rounds up very soon.
Maybe I'll wait until I see everything in the sunlight tomorrow morning. After noon, the sun is on the other side of the house. There's still natural light, but it's not even close to the mornings.
I think my ceiling was fine with two coats. It looks great now. I think the "dark" spots I was seeing was paint that just hadn't dried yet. It's a very hot and humid day outside today and I didn't have the A/C on until just recently.

Ooohhh.... Two coats are up now and I'm about 99% sure I'm just staying with that color for all 3 walls.
You've got to see these crazy cuts I had to make in between those vinyl shower edger plate things and the window/door trim. Basically, it was the width of the narrow end of the brush plus 1/4"... and that might be generous. It was TIGHT. I had to get all my paint on the side of the brush that would be up against the vinyl since I will be capping those off with the quarter round. I still couldn't be sloppy, but in order to cut into the trim it was the only way it could be done. Nobody will ever be able to paint that wall again unless they do the trim the same color as the wall or they rip it out.
Might be getting a little late to snap any decent pictures. I'll see what I can do.
Might get those trim pieces up and the bottom piece of trim up under the windowsill tonight yet. Gotta be sure I'm not changing the one wall color though because I'm not putting 2 of those 3 pieces up until I know for sure.

Well, I did manage to stick with pulling down the passionflower vines (There were more than a few!)
I had just about given up on the ones out of reach of my long- handled Japanese hoe when I remembered that I have a REALLY long avocado picker!
Not sure what I'm gonna do tomorrow.
Maybe catch the rest of the palms that I uncovered.
Or move some decorative rocks out of the way so I can call a professional tree trimmer. Or rake and bin up a bunch of trimmings and dead grasses.
There's something everywhere I look.
Hmm... Needs some thought.
But at least I finished deep watering the avocado trees.
And looking forward to those cosmos seedlings growing up and flowering to complement the nasturtiums, borage and morning glories in my " meadow".

These first few I'm going to try to explain, but they aren't the greatest quality and I really need to find a working camera that does better than this garbage.
This first one I think you'll see pretty easy. It's the window on the right and the shower on the left. This was after I'd cut out all the nasty caulk on that side and I hadn't yet figured out how I was going to finish that off. (That vinyl thing in between the shower and window is what I'm calling the vinyl plate).
2nd picture of that, but further down. Just showing off their AWESOME cut job on that vinyl. Real professional stuff.
These next two, I don't know... It's two shots of the awful calk job on the other side before I'd gotten to taking it all down. I'm not really sure if you can make that out, and I'm certain that you're not seeing at all how bad it really was if you can.
More fun electric! That's it buddy. Just keep drilling holes until one of them feels good for ya!

Caulk removed and everything primed and painted twice, ready for my quarter round.

And as nice as that trim looks, did you catch that cut-in job on the ceiling. I don't know what happened, but I think that I might have done my best cut-in of my life today. And usually they're not half bad.
And now this wall is done except for the toilet paper dispenser, and the baseboard after I repair the sub-floor and get new tile down.
You probably can't tell from that angle, but I've got the wood putty up there on the sides where there were gaps far too big for caulk to do the job. I said earlier I had to paint the outside and face of the window trim before I could paint the walls and cut in to the window, but none of that was close to dry. I'm going to have to still sand that down, probably do some additional repairs and then finally paint the rest of the window.
I thought this one was pretty cool. You don't get this effect all day, but during the last 2 hours or so of daylight, the walls look different colors from outside the room. The funny thing is that if I painted that window wall with the slightly darker paint, I think they'd probably be matching while that effect was going on in the evening.
Heh... I just noticed I put those last two out of order. Didn't have the last piece of the window trim at the bottom until the end of the day.
Really nice to finally get all the trim up.
The first thing I have to do before anything else now is mow my lawn. Once I get that done, I can get back to sanding a few things and even cleaning off any of the old hardware that is going to get the oil-rubbed bronze treatment. It's nice to know that I've already finished enough of this stuff that when I sand the rest of it I'll have plenty of room on my horses to paint them in my basement without having to move a bunch of stuff around. We're all ready for that.
Once I get that electric figured out I can finally get cabinets up and go back to normal life.
Oh right... and I got another real good look at the over-the toilet cabinet today. In my mind I imagined the nook under the doors to be quite a bit shorter than it actually is. That's going to be GREAT when I have it hung with electric in the box. It's tall enough where people can put electric toothbrushes and beard trimmers standing upward, and not laid on the side like I used to keep mine

It wasn't the best job I've ever done because my eyesight got any better. Quite the contrary after the diabetes. I can still read and get around, but I know I need a new script. Looking at the lines too hard like I would have before makes my eyes bug out now.
I think what happened, is that I just let go and trusted myself. It was faster than normal, and it was really smooth and super tight to that inside angle despite not taking time to sand down any prior defects in the corners like I usually do.
Back in the day it was painfully slow and I was hyper-focused on that. Today it was like "okay. you got the line. good. let 'er rip!".

Of course... Knew I'd run into a snag eventually today. It was just too good to be true overall, even with the reveal of the even more scary electric.
If everything works, which remains to be seen, all the moving is done. The only other moves I'll be making is final backups on the last 2TB drive when I know what deserves that prime real estate that will be tucked away safely in a box. I still have more dehoarding and reorg to do before backups are finished, but I had to move on to a few other things and I was killing it with the house work.
So I had that idea that I'd run the system off the fast but small SSD and then use the large drive for the stuff that doesn't need to be stored on the system drive.
If this was all a Windows network, no problem. Would have been set up an hour ago...
But of course, it's Linux. *blah* Everything is always an ordeal with Linux.
Both of my drives have the same name, because of the clone process. Changing this name in Windows doesn't do anything but confuse the system and if I try loading either disk after changing its windows name then it just hangs on a black screen after the BIOS is finished. But if I don't change the names, it automatically loads the big drive every time. And because of this name conflict, the BIOS won't even properly recognize the smaller drive at all and instead of saying the make and model in the boot select / setup menus, it just shows a generic "USB Drive" that you are unable to force a boot from.
I think I'm going to have to go into terminal with raised privileges to fix this, which means I'm probably not going to do it tonight.
EDIT: Ah... duh.
Just re-reading the post and I think I've got the answer. I'll just rename the big drive in Windows so it's not recognized in the boot and I should be able to force the automatic boot of the small SSD.
It's not the proper solution, but if it works and I don't have to spend 2 hours messing around in Terminal it's good enough for me.
EDIT 2: Nope...
Nice try, but it doesn't resolve the underlying issue. What happens now is that I'll randomly be able to start the PC up and everything works. Then I'll restart and nothing is working. I suspect this behavior is because renaming the drive in Windows is still making things wonky, and instead of loading the other two externals in the same order with the same designations on every boot, I think they're being switched up between boots.
And if that's not what is happening, I don't have any other ideas right now.
Guess I'm going to have to mess with terminal to get this done. What a drag.
EDIT 3: Nope...
Not a terminal thing either. The rename in Windows is just fine and is seen in Linux as well. I believe I've narrowed it down to a BIOS issue. It's 12 years old now. I was trying to make it do something that it obviously isn't capable of doing, which is loading more than 2 external drives in any consistent fashion.
I can have any combination of 2 of the 3 drives hooked up and I have complete control over them and how they load. But if I put the 3rd one in the mix, the second two externals after the boot drive is selected are loaded up in a random order. When I'm relying on a good deal of Symbolic Links that are pointing to specific locations on only one of those drives, it does me no good if half the time I boot up the PC it's all pointing to the wrong drive.
There's probably some sort of software solution out there that handles this all post-boot sequence, but I'm such a novice at Linux I think it would take me a long time to even find it, let alone implement it. I think for now I'm going to settle for my backup solution on this one and maybe I'll revisit it down the road. I'm pretty sure that if I got a computer made in at least 2020 this wouldn't even be an issue, so I'm not worried about it.
