This politician used few words while making a very clear statement:

He said that Russian forces had entered a "conflict of annihilation" and that "it's either us or them," before repeating a quote that he had given in a previous interview that Moscow would win and "will destroy 1, 2, 3 or 5 million Ukrainians."

Gubarev described the Ukrainian army as one of the strongest armies in the world, and that they were brave, although he said that they were "no different from us," repeating the idea pushed by nationalists that Ukraine is not a separate nation.

"But they are infected with the virus of anti-Russianness," Gubarev said. "I don't know how we can live together after our victory, short of cutting them all out, carrying out genocide on them all."

"We will have to re-educate them. We will have to drag some of them through camps," Gubarev added. "Some will have to be persuaded not just with words."

The comments provoked a strong reaction online. Gerashchenko said they showed how Gubarev "openly calls for genocide."

"An absolute masterpiece in the expression of the fascist mentality," wrote one user in the comments under the clip posted on underneath the video on Davis's YouTube Channel, Russian Media Monitor. "I think it is the most bone-chilling interview I have watched during the entire war."

"The calmness he speaks of the necessity of genocide is chilling," posted another user.

Putin said the same without mentioning he'd kill 5,000,000 Ukrainians. Putin wisely withheld that detail, knowing it would cause an uproar if spoken from his mouth but Russia really will have to kill 5,000,000 to achieve 'Peace' in the aftermath of the 'Victory' over the Ukrainian Army:

The EU activated its temporary protection directive for the first time in history, giving more than 5.3 million Ukrainians the right to residence.

With the European Commission in the driving seat, it has for the first time imposed 10 rounds of economic sanctions against a country, all agreed unanimously. National sanctions enforcement has now even become an EU competence.

“The framework was therefore Kantian: it was based on the principle of peace through exchange. Foreign policy was left to the side, either because no European state at that time wished to surrender its sovereignty in this sensitive area, or because those who were willing to do so only imagined this action exclusively within the framework of Nato.”

Nicole Gnesotto, vice-president of the Jacques Delors Institute, concurs. “In one night Russia killed all EU philosophy since 1956. The European Economic Community was founded on the principle after the second world war that economic trade and interdependence was the best recipe for peace between France and Germany first, and then between Europe and the rest of the world. Overnight all this became obsolete.”

Some reforms in the field of EU security look revolutionary, and irreversible. V-Adm Hervé Bléjean, the head of EU military staff until June, recalls that within 36 hours of the invasion, the EU, “previously associated only with economic and soft power, decided unanimously to provide money for lethal equipment to a country at war. If you would have asked me if that was possible one month before, I would have laughed at the idea.”
