We've already seen Buffy used as a model for dealing with biological terrorism. There's an online Journal of Buffy Studies. There's been one academic conference (Blood, Text, and Fears: Reading around Buffy the Vampire Slayer), which had to be extended because of the number of papers submitted. More conferences are planned.
Now James South, who teaches Medieval and Renaissance Philosophy at Marquette University, plans to publish "Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Philosophy: Fear and Trembling in Sunnydale."
I'd say, "Hey, it's just a TV show!" But who'd listen?

I'm reminded of my favorite pro-terrorist file, "International Guerillas". Some intrepid guys vow to take out the notorious blasphemer, Israeli agent, and pedophile, Salman Rushdie. They infiltrate his secret headquarters, but are captured by Rushdie's Zionist minions. Fortunately, Allah smiles upon the IGs (or at least overlooks their ineptitude) and smites Rushdie with a bolt of lightening just as he's about to execute them.
This film was banned in the UK, and was only shown after Rushdie himself intervened. But by taking it off the blacklist, Rushdie also destroyed any interest in the film, and nobody went to see it. I guess that proves he really is a Zionist agent!
