NOT from JP: https://www.politico.com/news/2020/03/20/why-the-push-for-a-quick-coro
navirus-vaccine-could-backfire-139854

Quote:

“We seem to be willing to rush a vaccine into clinical trials without extensive animal model or safety testing,” said Paul Offit, a University of Pennsylvania immunologist who co-developed the rotavirus vaccine. “People are so scared of coronavirus that even those who are young and healthy will be willing to take a relatively untested product — even though the wild-type virus is unlikely to kill them.”

Offit’s vaccine, which eliminates thousands of infant deaths each year, took 26 years from design to licensure.

Quote:

Red tape and delay can sometimes pay dividends in drug and vaccine approvals. Industry officials laid into FDA official Frances Kelsey in 1961 for her reluctance to approve their morning sickness drug thalidomide, but her sloth turned into a blessing. While Kelsey pondered the submission, news of crippling birth defects in thousands of babies poured in from Europe, and the FDA never approved the drug.

During the 2009 H1N1 swine flu pandemic, federal officials decided not to approve vaccines that contained a new substance designed to boost the vaccine’s effectiveness. As a result, the United States was spared a controversy over an unpredictable side effect — narcolepsy — that struck people in Finland who got the newer shots.

So whether you're taking the shots because you're scared of the virus, or even more so if you're just scared of what other people will think of you if you don't, I'd urge you to take caution when making that decision for yourself. YOU are the human trials.

Remember the housing market "bubble"?

We've got a "people bubble" right now.

Just as in most areas the "replacement value" put on most houses for homeowners insurance is quite a bit more than the actual values of homes still to this day, the costs to pay health insurance claims and pay out life insurance policies have become far too high compared to the value of an actual single human life.

This is another side-effect of overpopulation.

And if you think I'm bullshitting you when I say they have models out there that have put a dollar value on your life from any factor including age and sex to what's in the darkest part of your medical records, I suggest you do a bit of research on that. They know to the penny what they feel your pinky finger tip is worth if you cut it off on the job site.

At 7 1/2 BILLION people on the planet, we're literally a dime a dozen.

What have you done today to earn your place in this crowded world? :)

I always wonder when I see quotes without links.

This one I traced back to Politico -
... that was ALSO full of quotes without links!

One of the claims from the article JACK didn't quote was this
Quote:

A massive campaign to vaccinate against the 1976 swine flu flopped when the disease turned out to be mild, but hundreds of people suffered a rare nerve disorder after vaccination.
The REAL story behind the supposed connection between swine flu and the 'rare nerve disorder' was that 25 people developed Guillain–Barré after vaccination - but that 58 UNvaccinated people did was well. And that the risk - that the vaccination seems to have reduced - was 2 in a million. IT'S A PLAGUE I TELL YOU!! Ha ha ha ha ha ...
https://www.livescience.com/21504-swine-flu-vaccine-nerve-disorder-gbs
.html

Meanwhile the claim about an 'additive' in the H1N1 vaccine causing narcolepsy looks like pure bunk ... hogwash ... horse manure.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2009_swine_flu_pandemic_vaccine

In sum - there's no 'there' there. So much for RCP being a reliable 'source' of facts.

Not sure G. In jacks case he seems to be so dumb he doesn't realize it, or how obvious it is to us.

What have you done today to earn your place in this crowded world? :)

6ix, life insurance companies lose money when an unexpectedly large number of people die. Insurance companies want you to live forever and keep paying them for insurance. An insurance underwriter wants you to get vaccinated. The longer you live, the more money they make. But, 6ix, your whole argument is that insurance companies are better off the sooner you die. That is a complete misunderstanding of how those companies make a profit.
https://www.sfglife.com/life-insurance/mortgage-protection/

By the way, health insurance companies want you to stay healthy, just the same as life insurance companies want you to live forever. When you are sick, it costs them. That's the reason companies did not sign up people with pre-existing conditions. That is why people lied about their health to these companies. But under current law, health insurance companies can’t refuse to cover you or charge you more just because you have a “pre-existing condition” — that is, a health problem you had before the date that new health coverage starts. These rules went into effect for plan years beginning on or after January 1, 2014.
