Only half of American adults want pending COVID-19 vaccine, poll finds. But experts estimate at least 70% of the U.S. population needs to be vaccinated to achieve herd immunity, the point at which enough people are protected that the virus can be held in check.

Wrong.
Anybody who got it and isn't already dead is immune.
For those slow on the uptake, THAT'S A LOT OF IMMUNE PEOPLE.
What have you done today to earn your place in this crowded world? :)

This might be an all time high for the greatest stupid sh*t posted by 6forbrains. Right after 4 years of "Trump will win in a landslide!" Right after, "Clinton is a pedo..." right after...
We're witnessing Trumptard greatness.
Read the CDC numbers stupid.
If you can't read a graph, I don't know what to tell you, buddy.
I have a hard time communicating with people as stupid as you. Maybe you can have Marcos help you out there.

Yes. While individuals who have tested positive for COVID-19 do produce antibodies, the antibody levels and how long they last are not known.

1) People who have tested positive for Covid-19 should still get the vaccine, doctor says
Dr. William Moss, an infectious disease pediatrician at Johns Hopkins University, encouraged anyone who has already tested positive for Covid-19 to get vaccinated once a vaccine becomes available.
“This too is a very important question, and it also is sometimes framed as, you know, if someone had Covid-19, should they get the vaccine, and the general recommendations now are yes,” Moss said during a John Hopkins webinar on Covid-19 vaccine distribution on Monday.
Moss said there have been different levels of immune responses, depending on the severity of the disease in the individual.
“People who have asymptomatic or very mild infections tend not to have as strong an antibody response as people who have been sicker. We certainly don't want that,” he said.
Moss added there is some potential that someone who has already tested positive for Covid-19 can produce a stronger antibody response once vaccinated. However, this is not the case for all vaccines, he said.

2) If I have already had COVID-19 and recovered, do I still need to get vaccinated with a COVID-19 vaccine when it's available?
There is not enough information currently available to say if or for how long after infection someone is protected from getting COVID-19 again; this is called natural immunity. Early evidence suggests natural immunity from COVID-19 may not last very long, but more studies are needed to better understand this. Until we have a vaccine available and the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices makes recommendations to CDC on how to best use COVID-19 vaccines, CDC cannot comment on whether people who had COVID-19 should get a COVID-19 vaccine.

3) "The general recommendation is to get the vaccine, even if you were previously infected," said Dr. David Thomas, a professor of medicine and director of the infectious diseases division at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. "There are some nuanced questions that we don't have the answer to yet, but from what we know now, it's the right call to get the vaccine."

We'll see who's fully loaded tool is more deadly if anybody ever dares try to make me get it too.
That's not a threat. It's a promise.

Quote:Did you ever get a tetanus shot? It is a vaccination. You don't get it because of ceaseless unrelenting fear, but because you have goodsense, commonsense, informed self-preservation, etc. But if you don't have those character traits, you don't.

Tetanus shots weren't created out of thin air in a matter of months.
One of the existing vaccines that people will be shooting up shortly is exactly the same as it was when it was first created.
In January.
You may want to consider that when you're putting who the hell knows what into your veins.

Jack really went round the bed when he (briefly) understood that comorbidities have everything to do with death. And age doesn't have anything to do with it, except of course, that people tend to accumulate more comorbidities as they grow older.
And that inkling of fear needed to be squashed immediately by denying ever more reality. That looks like how he deals with his deepest anxieties, by being completely irrational.

CDC’s Redfield told staff to delete email, official tells House watchdog
The instruction was revealed during an investigation into the Trump administration’s political interference at the public health agency.

Redfield’s apparent instruction was revealed in a Monday closed-door interview with the House subcommittee probing the White House's coronavirus response, which includes the Trump administration’s interference at the federal public health agency. It came following an Aug. 8 email sent by Paul Alexander, who was then the scientific adviser to Health and Human Services spokesperson Michael Caputo, aiming to water down the CDC’s famed Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Reports to align with President Donald Trump’s efforts to downplay the virus.
