Yes. While individuals who have tested positive for COVID-19 do produce antibodies, the antibody levels and how long they last are not known.

1) People who have tested positive for Covid-19 should still get the vaccine, doctor says
Dr. William Moss, an infectious disease pediatrician at Johns Hopkins University, encouraged anyone who has already tested positive for Covid-19 to get vaccinated once a vaccine becomes available.
“This too is a very important question, and it also is sometimes framed as, you know, if someone had Covid-19, should they get the vaccine, and the general recommendations now are yes,” Moss said during a John Hopkins webinar on Covid-19 vaccine distribution on Monday.
Moss said there have been different levels of immune responses, depending on the severity of the disease in the individual.
“People who have asymptomatic or very mild infections tend not to have as strong an antibody response as people who have been sicker. We certainly don't want that,” he said.
Moss added there is some potential that someone who has already tested positive for Covid-19 can produce a stronger antibody response once vaccinated. However, this is not the case for all vaccines, he said.

2) If I have already had COVID-19 and recovered, do I still need to get vaccinated with a COVID-19 vaccine when it's available?
There is not enough information currently available to say if or for how long after infection someone is protected from getting COVID-19 again; this is called natural immunity. Early evidence suggests natural immunity from COVID-19 may not last very long, but more studies are needed to better understand this. Until we have a vaccine available and the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices makes recommendations to CDC on how to best use COVID-19 vaccines, CDC cannot comment on whether people who had COVID-19 should get a COVID-19 vaccine.

One of the existing vaccines that people will be shooting up shortly is exactly the same as it was when it was first created.

Jack really went round the bed when he (briefly) understood that comorbidities have everything to do with death. And age doesn't have anything to do with it, except of course, that people tend to accumulate more comorbidities as they grow older.
