This year has been awful.
Yesterday we had to say good bye to a lovely 13 year old Rottie we've had since she was a puppy. She'd been failing for some time but I've never had a more honest or sweet dog in my life. With losing my birthday puppy (due to an enlarged heart) just a few weeks ago, it's almost too much to bear; but we still have three shelties who are getting lots of extra love and attention. I will be happy to see 2020 in the rear view.

So sorry sister. I hope 2021 is much better. Losing pets is a nightmare for a loving family. To us it's like losing a member of the family.

Hey, THG...you're right; it's like losing a child. So hard.
We have always loved our animals because they ARE our family. Currently we have a dear friend living with us with her two dogs so we do have lots of fur-kids still around us. I am hoping that this coming year is better for all of us!
