This is NOT Switzerland to JACK. All I posted was a
when he came here looking for sympathy for all his self-caused woes.Tell him to stop being an asshole, and I won't respond in kind.
YOUR problem is that you've written off his ass-holery so much you don't even see it anymore.
But as long as he starts it, I will repay him. Wherever he throws his JACKshit around. Even here.

BRENDA
I would have loved a house when I was younger
I know but after my dad died, we lived mostly in apartments so I was missing the loss of freedom during my later childhood.

but yeah, repairs would have been the end of me. So maybe a good thing I could never afford one.
Getting slammed with some depression again weather and other stuff related.
Umm... I was hoping that moving to a brighter, cleaner, larger, and more functional home would have helped with the depression, but it still seems to be dogging you. Is it the isolation, do you think, that's causing you to feel so blue?
It has helped tremendously over the winter. But, yeah now it is the isolation that is doing my head in at times. I am not really a people person but I got used to a certain level of interaction with my mah jong group. With that gone. Yeah.

Yeah well. Someone brought in a slight case of bedbugs over the last week. On Saturday I had to be very careful how I did my laundry. The manager did bring in the pest guy and had it sprayed. Hope he got them all but I didn't see anything.

Oh, eeew. I hope he got them all, too!
Well, I will see the next time I do my laundry.

Yanno KIKI, he wasn't calling JUST YOU a "Karen", and everything that he posted about you, and to you, was aimed at me too.
I see what he's doing, and I agree that he started it. I was stung, and pissed off, and I've typed all kind of nasty retorts that I erased, not just in this thread but in others. Trust me, I had some real zingers all lined up. But what's the point?
I guess I'm looking for areas of agreement, not disagreement. We can disagree on a lot of things, but I'll bet there are at least a few things we can agree on.

He was posting TO me. And ABOUT ME.
But even if he was directing his post to you (he wasn't), you have your way of dealing with assholes, and I have mine.
And you may have noticed, this isn't the only place where he's tried to KEEP PEOPLE FROM DISCUSSING THINGS THEY WANT TO DISCUSS AND EXPRESSING THE OPINIONS THEY WANT TO EXPRESS.
*HE* IS CLEARLY *NOT* HERE TO DISCUSS.
He's an asshole ... and I'll shove his JACKshit right back at him.

Quote:SIX's posts are mostly all about *him*. He only pretends to care about "people" but in reality he would like nothing better than to see BRENDA, you, SECOND, JONGSSTRAW, me, and any of the "old" and "weak" people die because he feels we stole the future (Easy Street) from him, and that he will be a survivor and will pick up the pieces as they fall from the deads' hands.

I noticed that he likes to post that "It's the end of the world as we know it, and I feel fine" except ... it really IS the end of the world as we know it, and he DOESN'T feel fine because the new world coming up is going to be hotter, poorer, and more dysfunctional and require way more work for far less payout than the old world. And he may be a survivor, but he sure isn't going to be a winner in the new world, because he doesn't own it.
And I think he knows it because he's lived it: At his age when he should be doing better than when he started out his life was derailed when his awesome job was outsourced to India, and he's been taken down, step by step, thru a series of economic events and bad decisions, to a point where he's living almost a feral life divorced from any source of income except government handouts and gray-market jobs.
So what's to like about THAT???
And instead of blaming the companies that scour the world for the cheapest labor, he's focused on "old people" as the source of the problem.
But the only way that we can get past that terrible part to a better patch is if we work together and stop this black/white, male/female/other, young/old infighting and start focusing on who the REAL enemy is, and that's the people who own the world, the media and the politicians and who are the ones making the big decisions that got us into this mess in the first place.
SIX... any of this ringing any bells? Or am I way off base?
But nobody can keep anybody from posting anything they want to post, unless the poster allows themselves to be derailed by snarky comments from the side (BTW, nothing shuts up CC faster than asking him if he's a paid troll. Just FYI).
Anyway ... back to the garden!

As you may have noticed, gardening is my avocation (altho I feel like what I'm doing is "yardwork" more than "gardening").
Anyway, I took some rubble away from the "compost" pile and cut off the long side of the plastic mesh fence (which was btw 3-4 ft tall) and started digging in. If it was trash, like palm fronds which even our city's greenwaste program won't handle I pulled it out by hand. If it was big enough to be caught by the leaf-rake, into the 65 gal bin it went! The leaf-mold (what there was of it) sifted to the ground, and when there was enough I picked it up by shovel. To give you and idea of how dysfunctional the "compost" pile was, I filled the 65 gallon bin with old dry leaves and about a 1/3 of a 33-gallon bin with leafmold.
But once the big bin was full, I had to come to a stop because ... no more bins. Two were out by the curb with trimmings already. So today I shredded the big binful, and between that, the leafmold, and the previous shredding the veggie garden is more-or-less mulched and watered and ready for the summer. The plants are working on their fourth set of leaves already, and when I took a picture of the garden I could see rows of green instead of a big patch of dirt with maybe a few tiny green shoots.
YEE HA!

Been out for my walk and while out stopped at my doctor's office to ask a question. I was then informed since they had no appointments that I could see her(my gp). The nurse hemmed and hawed for a moment because I didn't have a mask but decided to let me in and give me one.
Anyways long story short it is off to the vampires I go in a bit as I need refills for my meds.

Hey Signy
I've noticed Brenda carefully hedge her words and not post much opinion, as I believe for fear of setting JACK off.
Your mileage may vary.
