The Reds are easy: Sarge is Red, Simmons is Maroon, Donut is Pink, Grif is Orange, and Sister is Yellow (though technically I suppose she's a Blue). The Blues are a little harder. Church is Cobalt, which I had to look up the hex code for (3D59AB), Tucker is Cyan, Caboose is Blue, and Tex is Black, which makes it hard to post on forums like this, so I tend to use Grey instead. Doc is purple, which is easy, though I haven't posted a cool one with O'Malley because I can't decide what color to make him to make him recognizable. Anyhow, that's how I do them. :D LeopardFlan posted the simplest html that I know to make it work on this board.

And LeopardFlan, of course I am familiar with the Guide. I kinda worry about people who aren't. Same goes for people who haven't seen The Princess Bride. *shudder*

I claim the need for a large drink and an explanation to all this random stuff I'm not getting!

I still want to see Indie, I occasinally like to see a film I don't need to think about and watch the explosions. Doesn't happen too often and is usually connected to childhood obsessions (off to watch Iron Man on Friday), anyway, when are you thinking of going on Sat Ems, sounds like a good plan if I can make it.

Gee, check out Red vs. Blue, I suggest YouTube just to find an episode or two, it's pretty damn funny.

I can get myself through the singing part on Hard, though that was before I ever heard the actual song, I might be able to do better now. The drums have defeated me twice on Hard, though I vow that that won't remain the case for long.

Ah; the what you do is reply w/ quote to him and copy the hex code he's using.

Hex code is like this- #008C7A, #FFB401, etc. Here's an explanation of how hex code works- http://www.htmlgoodies.com/tutorials/colors/article.php/3478951, he gets kinda condescending, but that's basically how they work.

Yeah it is a bummer but the feedback is a real help in knowing what you need to work on.

The other thing to bear in mind is that you never really know the culture of a school is unless you've worked there so it's hard to always pitch you interview right. Don't think just cause that you didn't get the job that it's cause you're not good enough, they could very easily just be looking for something slightly different.

The only RvB color I use hex for is the Cobalt for Church. The others are all already encoded. Maroon, Cyan, Pink, and Gray (spelled with an A, not an E, as I found out yesterday) are all valid colors for the code.

The ninja kitty is hangin with the 76th right now & just fine SFAIK.
She posted a pic of herself in her fave fishnets recently.
I was afraid I'd have to do virtual CPR on a couple of the guys. They're being treated for whiplash and eyestrain as we speak.

...unless there's another ninjakitty I don't know about....
They're sneaky like that.

I'm planning a big campfire/drunken sing-song for the weekend of July 4th. My mother will be coming into town around then. She'll get drunk and sing too, not to worry.
Apparently her sister is planning a big cookout in Buffalo (3 hour drive each way)one day, and is expecting all of us to be in attendance.

Now I have to figure out which night of the long weekend I can steal. It's one of the only weekends the SCA group has free all summer.

Gorram priorities. Sometimes it's hard to decide how to rank 'em, ain't it?

We had the septic tank pumped the other day.

Twice.

They found the tank, drained it, were convinced that it must be leaking because nothing was floating in it, had hubs flush, and nothing happened.
So then they got two more guys in, started poking around with sticks, and found the *new* (40 years old and never pumped) tank! Then they drained *that* one. Then they fixed the pipe that they broke. Then they went home and left a whole lot of dirt in piles.
During the course of this it was also discovered that the bathroom tie-in to the greywater system was broken and draining directly into the basement. What fun!

So today we cut down an 8"diameter sumac tree. I spread some dirt around to level out a path for the riding mower, and proceeded to put in a strawberry bed where the old tank is.

It will probably collapse some day leaving us with a sinkhole, but I will look upon it as increased surface area for planting more strawberries.

I also put a ring of rocks around the buried access to the current tank, so we can find it more easily in another 5 years when it's time to drain it again. (No, not 40 years.)

I have herbs to put in, and tomatoes (the ones I grew from seed have succumbed to slugs and diverse elements), and some yellow bell peppers.

I'm just waiting for the thunderstorms to clear out.

We also stopped for ice cream. 24 flavors of soft-serve! (One at a time) They mix it in a little vat and then put it in a cup with a plunger and it smooshes out like it came out of one of the big machines. I had apricot. Son had strawberry (did I mention strawberries are his absolute favorite thing in the whole wide world?)

Then there's tomorrow! Yay for weekends!
And my roses are in bloom.

Geeze... if I never have to see another stick again, it will be way too soon. Spent all day picking up sticks to dad could mow (and we've recently had a really bad storms- 100 mph winds, and some hail), and cutting up the really huge branches into little pieces so we can get them all burned, and I'm tired. I don't even want to watch those damn sticks burning, which tells you how serious this is.

Waaaah! The weekend is over! How did that happen? One minute it was Sunday morning an I was thinking about starting an essay, then a small bout of food poisoning and a long conversation with the toilet later and it's past my bedtime, nearly Monday morning , and no essay.

I'm not ready to start another week yet!

Sigh. Hope eveyone else's weekend went better than mine.
