Iraq really is no fun. Of course, it's not meant to be, but, I've missed my son's birthday...I'm going to miss my daughter's birthday, and I'm going to spend mine here too.
I'm about halfway done. I hope.
But...Chalk up another convert. I've loaned out my DVD set again, and hooked another one.
But, man, I get tired of answering that "Why aren't there any more?" question.
Call me impatient.

Thank you for the hard work and service in the war. It's always good to hear when any of our troops make it back safely. My brother will be going on his 2nd tour really soon, so I hear ya.

I'm still here...a little over halfway done, and anxious to get home.
My brother just left the US on his way here. He'll be holding somewhere else before he gets here.
I missed my birthday, my two kid's birthdays, and my mother's. In spite of it all...Well, really, I'm miserable.
I just want to come home, buy a new TV, and watch Firefly on it.

Thanks for all the kind words. I just got back from leave and was greeted with rumors of an extension so I've got the "Hold till we get back" thing down pat. In better news it was fun to bring the news of the Serenity: SE's summer release back. All the BrownCoats over here we're pumped to hear that and I am talking up the pre-order stuff. Is it available for pre-order yet? That and I am circulating my DTI DVD to the hardcore fans and can't wait to get it back b/c I haven't gotten to check out all the Extra Features yet. Also heard from the wife that they were showing FireFly on an HD-TV channel. OMG!! I can't wait till I can watch the show in HD. Sounds like a good reason to release the FireFly DVDs in HD too! We've gotta be solidly in the black for profit by now, yet no rumors of sequel talk yet huh? Oh well, here's hopin!
