Two movies released last year (Knocked up and Ice Age 2: the Meltdown)
And has two more movies that are completed/in post-production that haven't been released (Death at a Funeral and 3:10 to Yuma)

And according to IMDB Jewell is currently doing a movie called The Tribe.

Hey, BrowncoatBrett, welcome to FFF.net. You've got a lot of good questions, and folks have been answering. We want more Firefly. Joss has been saying that there is nothing in the works right now, but he has a lot of projects in his mind if the people with money approach him. He's no longer on the Wonder Woman project, so it becomes a stronger possibility.

We are doing our best to spread the word by introducing family and friends to the 'Verse. There are all sorts of ideas of how to get the word out at the Guerilla Marketing threads.

There are a lot of talented folks here on this site that make pics and banners that can be used for introducing others. Just make sure you ask them. Those can be found in the Blue Sun Room.

The actors' three year contracts were to make a trilogy of Serenity if it was successful. It didn't make enough in the theaters, but the DVD sales are increasing all of the time. The rumors that have been going around is that if at all possible the actors and actresses would be there to make a seguel. If they are in the midst of another movie or TV series, it would be difficult, but anything is possible. I'm optimistic, and they rave about how great it is to work with Joss.

Can't Stop Serenity!

Edit: Ooops, I forgot to mention the 76th. A group of Browncoats will be marching at Dragon*Con 2007 in September at Atlanta as the 76th Battalion of the Independent Army. It's been a lot of fun getting it organized, and we're hoping that it will bring a bit of attention to the Browncoat community. If you want more information, you can go to:

Well, I made it home safe and sound for my 2 weeks leave. Got to watch my DTI disc that just arrived which was awesome. Also, had a buddy and his wife over yesterday where we watched the HD DVD Serenity. I guess you could say that in terms of converting new browncoats, a screening of the Serenity Pilot is a better choice than the movie. I hadn't actually watched the movie since the first time I saw it and it drove me to find the Firefly DVDs. Now, I can tell that in terms of a general audience, the BDM appears to have been made more for the fans and may seem a little intimidating to non-SCI-FI fans. SOOO next time I try to convert people I will start them on the Firefly series and then I can feed them the Left Behind Comic, then the movie then intro them to FFF.net. Just wanted to share my experience and re-state that the FireFly disc 1 is more likely a better recruitment tool on non-sci-fi fans than the BDM. I do have one question, does the Blue Sun room have ready made MySpace banners? and if not where would y'all suggest that I go to find some?

Great to be back, if even for 2 weeks.

Can't stop the signal.

Yep, it's good to start with Firefly when recruiting. There are lots of Browncoats that started with the movie, but especially with non Sci-Fi folks it's good to start with the Serenity episode.

As for the banners, I did find this post:
"Ok so it turns out it's very simple to post banners on myspace! You just open a free photobucket account, upload your image from your computer, and then copy and paste the TAG code into someone's comment box. Easy!"

You can get the photobucket account at: http://photobucket.com/

Here's the Official Serenity Flash Banners that were posted by Haken:

Has anyone shared how to access things on FFF.net? Go to: http://www.fireflylabs.ca/misc/fffsearch.html and make sure the "Fireflyfans.net" dot is selected. You can enter "banners" and click on Google search. It will give you all of the posts that say banners on the FFF.net site. I hope that helps.

Welcome back to the States.

Welcome BCBrett, and thank you for your service and sacrifice.

You've asked about FireFly2, by which I assume you mean Ace Underhill's Firefly Season 2 website that is currently just a survey, right? As you can probably surmise from the responses, it's a non-event at this point. Long time fans have been pretty vigilant about credibility-testing any would-be saviors, and the original incarnation got put through the ringer (and deservedly so, IMO):

Everyone decides for themselves, but the project does not have the collective support of the organized fan community.
