I'm replying to FlatTop only because his tagline is "yours may be the voice that makes the difference."
I really want to address everyone voting for Firefly or Lexx or any other show. My message is this: trash talk sucks.
Just because one Bonanza fan, a few months ago, said they'd squashed Firefly like a bug (they had at that time), why do we have to continue to diss them?
I joined a Bonanza forum to see what they're saying about us, and anything negative has been in response to something we've said in this forum.
Most of them are taking the moral high ground (a Cartwright trait) and just voting for their favourite show, and you know what? It makes them look good.
My philosophy: vote a lot and be nice. We're gonna win, I have no doubt, and I'm doing my part, but trash talk hurts me as much as the intended victim.
Again, this was not aimed at anyone in particular. If it's too serious, I apologize. Sometimes I just can't keep my mouth shut. Thanks for listening.

I've been peeking at the Bonanza boards too. Remember when someone here said the Bonanzites probably weren't too computer-savvy? Here's a quote: It is now 1:55 a.m. and I have logged in 30 votes today. I am going to sleep very content with the knowledge that I have spoken on behalf of BONANZA
For someone to log 30 votes in a day, they have to be using unsecure wi-fi networks or some other work around. They know what they're doing over there.

Sure, you piss them off and they vote more, that's normal. But Firefly is gonna win nevertheless, so why shouldn't we get some fun of it :) They can get mad all they want, they still got 400 votes to catch up!
The situation is the opposite with Lexx, we have no hope of beating them, but we still like to make fun of them :)
And let me repeat - I hate westerns.
Still voting for Firefly and Lexx. I don't like to bump more than once a day, because it takes too much time and I'm quite busy with all that stupid homework!!!

I agree with you, however this is the main difference, the other threads may all have 1000+ votes but they don't have the quality of posts, where else has there been a competition to get the most interesting bump??
the majority of posts are simply stating they have voted, it is that difference that keeps coming back and means that we might as well come back and read the next lot, the trash talk is part of this, you can't take the passion away from Browncoats, it's why were all here, all I would say is if any Cartwrights/Xenites/Scapers or whatever are reading this then return to your boards and get even, we will only find it more fun.
For me the idea of the vote is to get your show noticed and we are doing that, every board around lists their score, the score of those around them and ours! Personally I have already ordered the first series of Lexx and watched a few episods of farscape and if we can get firefly to be watched by just a few people they will become browncoats and we will go on!
