CMH- Ok in the grouping of you and your friends...which one is you. I know you have shown a lot of pics, but honestly you are quite the master of disguise!! Cool battle thing though. Is it a reinactment group or just for fun? And I feel compelled to point out that all 13 year olds show off..it's some sort of hormonal imperative:) It's why a goodly portion of my day is spent saying" I'm sure it does hurt. It reminded me about an episode of Chris Elliot's "Get a Life" when somebody mentioned a guinea pig and Chris looks right at the camera and says "No offence to our Italian American viewers".....
Sorry bout the rant... these fingers just type on their own some times. Glad you use cash though. I guess when we go to an all credit system (I still stand by that date) I could mow somebodies lawn for some pot

I'm the one in the middle, with the beard. My physique's deteriorated by this point, because I've just been laid up in a hospital bed for a couple months. I was just getting back into MMA at that time, and the tiny bumps and bruises on me are from that.
The battle thing is a competitive medieval-type combat organization. Many people come to role play, others to fight, and some just to party and get wasted. It doesn't really accurately translate to the real weapons that are portrayed, or any real amount of skill. Mostly, as I see it, it's an exercise in situational and expansive awareness, last minute decision making, and much like chess, positioning and very (very) mild strategy. People there talk about using "tactics", but it's laughable to call what they attempt to do by that title.
