Yeah, well, I guess it has to happen to every one at least once, right?
I'd never been stood up or had a guy not call me back or the like before, so I guess it was my turn. I'm just hoping my turn is over now.
But man, it SUCKS.

I'd like to think that I'm more self aware than most people. I know my faults and my strengths alike. But I have to admit I went through a whole "What did I do wrong?" period. Very unhealthy.

When I was 18 I dated a girl that posessed a depth and inner beauty that went far beyond anything I deserved , or could even be fully aware of. I was unworthy of her, and I knew it on some level. I broke it off, and went back to growing up for many years; that was mainly what I needed to do at that point.
This might have been his problem, no?

Possibly, but he was..um..34? 35? at the time, so if he hasn't grown up now, he may never.

It's good that can say you WERE a stupid guy in your day. I din't think my day has passed yet. And it's been a loooooooooooong day. Like "and God created the Earth in 6 days" kind of day.

I was 24.
(I did a lot of the heart-ache thing between 18 and 23!)
We dated, and years later co-habitated. Seven years after we met, we got married.
She won't watch a minute of Buffy, yet loves Firefly, that seem right to you?

It makes sense to me. I'm not so crazy about Buffy or Angel. But I love Firefly.
I have seen every single Buffy episode, but only because I was bored and sick and my brother owns them all.

Is SCA like portable ren-faire? I used to work at the Ren-Faire here in WI, and damn I had the best time (although it was probably not the best idea for a 17 year old to work there cos of the debauchery factor, then again I'm sort of debauched anyways). Lots of great people! I also used to do rendevous (like revolutionary war reenactments sort of) and those were super fun too. Any excuse to wear a corset I can get behind.
Okay now I need to get caught up on the new thread, cos damn it blew up while I was offline!!
BTW: Mai, I do feel your pain. A few weeks ago I got to go through a 'no one will ever love me so fuck them all' phase, but I'm coming out of my funk. You'll get back your mojo.
A bit of humor: I have this shirt that says I ran into my ex-boyfriend, so I put it in reverse and hit him again everytime I wear it, girls always come up to me with a fist-pumping hell yeah!
