Life would glide so much smoother if I could just shut the smeggin' hell up. I try. I really do try. It just doesn't work too well. I reach a certain level of frustration with my surroundings or situation, and all manner of truth comes spewing out of my mouth at full volume. The censor never really worked too good to begin with, but when push comes to shove I go off like an idiot savant with an attitude and a vocabulary that a sailor would be ashamed to own up to. Hence the amount of time spent in the corner...

WOW! Busy times. I haven't really been around around this month. At the beginning, I was in Austria. Then I was really busy helping out at my local primary school. Then I was on a pilgrimage to Lourdes! It was all brilliant though. Especially the pilgrimage - it was even better than last year. Everyone was a lot closer, and I really felt like I was helping more. I miss the place already (we call it PLD, or Post-Lourdes Depression!) even though I've only been home 2 days! I can't wait to go back next year XD Anyway, I don't know how likely it is that I'll be around for a while now. There's a lot going on for me right now, and I'm unsure as to how much time I'll get online. Obviously, I'm still going to try and keep on track of my fanfic, but really that'll be all I get chance to do. For anybody who's religious, I'd like to ask you to keep someone in your prayers. A woman who lives near me, and in fact is rather close to my family, has been quite severely injured. She's like my second mother, and its very hard for me to see her like this. She was in the wrong place at the wrong time, and a tree fell on her. Luckily, it missed her head, but it did catch her shoulder, which knocked against her vertebrae, and has caused the loss of sensation below her waist. At the moment, the doctors aren't sure if she'll walk again - although yesterday she said that she could feel her foot, which is really quite remarkable in these early stages! Hopefully she will make a full recovery. So, that was just to explain why I have so little time for the internet right now. Hopefully I'll be around to talk to you all again soon! Much love, WuS xxx

I try not to be a selfish person, you know? And I know that when you give blood it could be saving someone's life. We're having one at work today, and I feel almost obligated to give, but the whole idea kind of creeps the hell out of me. All those needles, and, and, the NEEDLES, makes me want to run screaming the other direction and not come back. >_> We're asked to schedule an appointment, which I haven't done, because I'm torn whether or not I'll be able to handle it, let alone go. But they do accept walk-ins. Yeeaaaah, I'll just kind of... *points to corner* and whimper pathetically for a while now.

Ok..:blast: I bought the Dollhouse First season CD's, and I have to say I didn't give the TV show a fair shake when it aired. Im not a particular fan of Eliza Dushku, but I have to say in the later episodes she does turn in some spectacular performances. Mark Sheppard (AKA Badger:bash:) is true to type cast.. and a familiar face in the verse. At this time Iv only completed the first 2 CD's and will have more to comment on in the future. It AINT Firefly/Serenity, but it aint half bad either.

Ever have one of those tales that seem to take over, go from a simple idea to a behemoth? That’s what happened with Jericho Wells. It was meant to be nothing much more than a filler, a little tale slotted between the aftermath of Mal’s heart attack and Kaylee’s giving birth. Instead it became a twenty five chapter novel, in excess of 78,000 words, and something I had to work hard at. It started with the beginning, as good tales should, and a vague idea of someone standing for Parliament. It was going to be Mal, but that was too obvious. After going through all the options I decided on Zoe. I had the first chapter already written before I came up with the idea of Bethie talking to Kaylee at the end of the last story about Ethan’s pacemaker, but it all seemed to fit. So it began. The heist was almost always going to be a part of it, but the parts with Bethie, her election games and cookie theft were written on the fly as I went. And I had to figure out a way for Serenity to get away unscathed, thus River and her computer shenanigans. I always had this picture of her dancing between the security beams in my head ... Anyway, so here we are. An entire book about personal and specific freedom, rather than a simple little bit of fluff. And success for Mal and the crew. Whether or not this current trend continues is another matter, though, dependent on my muse and if I decide to let them keep the money ...

:( Well, that's what it seemed like. I had to leave my truck at this garage that works on fleet vehicles. Large rides to little ones, and pretty much everything in between. When they put 'er up on the lift, I couldn't help but think of Serenity, getting all fixed up. Well, the first time. Not after she was tore up on Mr Universe's planet. Wasn't anything that bad.

You ever have on of those Saturday mornings where your body hates you so much you think you're never going to drink alcohol ever again? That's me right now.

Is it me or the time of year? There seems to be lower number of readers of the tales, and less reviews. Have to wait and see come September, but I hope we're not losing members. Jane :disappointed:

Hello all! I assure you that I haven't forgotten any of you here in Firefly Land! I've been busy with work and with new fandoms (Star Trek XI & Heroes). I've been bitten by the muse in Star Trek XI and I've been writing in that fandom in my spare time. I finally updated Still Flying, even though I know that the chapter is shorter than usual. Don't worry, I promise a beefy chapter next time. Still Flying has been undergoing some heavy re-writing and editing, and that's also a big reason for the delay in updates. To those of you who are still reading, thank you so much! - GG

If somebody dropped a strong-box of money from above, it would probably land on my head and flatten me flatter than Wiley Coyote at the bottom of the goram canyon. You ever have a day like that? Yeah? Well, that's right where I'm at today. Fucked up part of it? Still in a pretty good mood. World around me is going to hell. My job is about to put me in the nut-house. I can't seem to get it together enough to be accepted into grad school. I am beyond broke. It's really more like "that kind of decade" if you want to be more accurate. Don't matter, though. I'm still in a pretty good mood. Some days, it's just easier to focus on the good. I know that the bad's out there, waiting, but right now I just don't care. It's a good day today...

So I'm watching an episode of WAREHOUSE 13 on SyFy (Gads what a stupid name-change) and I see JANE ESPENSEN as co-creator and DREW Z. GREENBURG as Producer. Both wrote episodes of Firefly way back when...

I slept like 20 hours and I am still staggering around like there's something wrong with me. I just can't seem to get awake today. Still yawning. Still watery-eyed and drowsy. Not enough caffeine. Going back to bed. I'll be in my bunk.
Thursday, 13 August 2009 20:29:11
I gotta be at work in 2.5 hours. I've had 4 cups of coffee. I still feel like a slug. I want to go hurt the fucktards that probably slipped me goram decaf!! I pay good money for coffee, I expect goram coffee. Wake-up juice. Fuel for my sleeping brain. Not goram wimpy-ass decaf! What the fuck is wrong with the world that I can't get my caffeine fix?!?! I'm gonna be really cranky now. And by that I mean crankier than usual. All I wanted was my caffeine. It's not like I'm goram asking them to perform higher level brain function or anything. Just grab the right goram pot is all. Just give the addicted person the goram goods and nobody gets hurt...

So, it's been a few weeks since I posted my fanfics and to my not-so-surprised-but-still-depressed-self only two people thought to leave me feedback. I completely understand you want to get to the really juicy ones, but just remember the smaller ones build up to more intense things. Depending what you want to classify intense as. Anyway, I'm not going to give up my pathetic endeavors to try and progress what was one of my all-time favorite shows. I feel that there was so much potential for stuff to happen. However, what I was going to make a Rayne fic is now in debate. See, I'm sort of debating whether I want to add a new character of my own after Serenity (movie) to try and bring a calm after the storm, a sort of balance, if you will. Since two of the great characters were killed off. I have story in my head and I must say it's eating away my brain cells. Mainly, because it hardly let's me think of anything else when it's bogged down with a juicy plot, with a bunch of twists and turns. However, I feel a sense of loyalty to the one that I already started (sleep tight) which I also planned to have twist and turns. However, this other story that's on my brain seems to be so different yet so the same. Yeah, I know that was an oxy-moron statement, but I guess I'm just that type of person. Anyway, please don't give up on the moonbrain-crazed girl just yet. I may just surprise you with a trick up my sleeve. *Minor note - for those who are following the Sleep Tight... series I am going to add another chapter after I post this blog.

Hi everyone! One of my friends had a bit of a medical emergency recently. They're okay now, but they're not feeling up to writing this original story they've been working on, and they asked me to help them finish this one chapter. I agreed to. They really helped me out a lot with my initial brainstorming for my stuff, and they also pretty much introduced me to Firefly in the first place. But, for anyone who's interested, that means less to no time for working on Eidolon. I'm not sure exactly when I'll be finished with this other project, but soon as I'm done, I'll get back on with the story.

Okay, so shockingly, I am really liking this whole blog thing. Mainly because I can just write down what I am thinking. Which is, of course, about my fanfics. Yesterday, I mentioned my dilemma about them. Today, there was some feedback on the latest installment. Which is good, since that's what I want. The trouble is, it's not really constructive. To me it just seems as if theirs an underlining message. I don't know. It's not positive, but it's not negative. I'm used to getting different types of feedback. This isn't the only one that I write stories for, even if it is more for my own amusement than for others. Still, I sort of like it when it's more clear what it is they're looking for. Of course, you can't win them all. Someone will always have an opinion, which is great. What I mean to say is that it's impossible to please everyone, so might as well just please yourself. I guess I'm saying this more for myself than for anything. Especially since I highly doubt that anyone reads my stupid blogs. Even if that is the case I will still leave my little thoughts here. Leaving a mark that I have visited. Moving along, I did upload another chapter of the fanfic. Still debating on whether or not to switch. Except now it seems more like giving up on one story, than anything. I don't give up. I am a very determined person. So, even if the feedback is completely terrible I will continue the story, at least until my brain cells are completely overloaded with the other story. Really quickly, I would like to give a shout out to BYTEMITE. I want thank you for leaving me both feedback on my fanfics and on blog. I do agree; I should start to put my brain cells at rest by writing what it is that's on my mind. Funny thing. I posted this blog and went back to read the feedback again, and here I am editing the blog. See, I realized that it's not so cryptic as I thought, but that maybe it wasn't the feedback that I was expecting. Which just goes to teach me another lesson. Always expect the unexpected. When I read the feedback again, I actually understood where they might have been coming from. I have flaw. Shocking, I know, just kidding. I'm flawed in the way that my brain goes a mile a minute and my thoughts scatter every which way that I feel I have to explain every single detail, as if it would be a complete mystery if I didn't. My resolve is that I will try to make my fanfics a little more mysterious. Not going into EXTREME detail. Less is more as I once heard it. Don't know what it means, but hey it works. Again, just kidding, it's pretty self-explanatory. Anyway, for all those, including BYTEMITE, that have left feedback, thanks for letting me know that at least someone spends a few minutes reading my pathetic attempts at something that was huge. At least in our lives.

So not sure if a painted fridge actually counts as "artwork" but here it is none the less... we love Firefly after being hooked on it by our good friends the Hardies down the street. Jamie is an advertising guru and happens to know how to paint fairly well.... :-) Check out our beer fridge in the garage...

It used to just be Lunesta. And that was a moth. I've wanted to say this for almost two years, and I can't take it any more so I will: They're invading. MWHA HA HA HA! The big blue butterflies have landed. And they want our cashy money. They want it bad. If I see one more blue butterfly in any advert spot, commercial break, label, card, or logo, I'm going to start wondering about octopus code. You know, central hub, sticky tentacles everywhere. It'll blow your mind. (not mandatory). Actually, the allergy has now extended to monarchs and tiger swallowtails which are also large and pretty and heavily used. But not as much as the blue morpho, or pseudo blue morpho (ie big blue butterfly). They even pop up in non-butterfly things, such as the shape being formed out of various substances, or coming together and flutterbying away. I am thoroughly curious. And a little disturbed. Or perhaps we've just discovered/formed a new kind of cultural symbol. I can't help but think of the convicts in that one scene in the movie Papillon might've had the right idea.

Recent Firefly convert. (It only took me 5 years to discover it on my own, how it took me so long, I'll never know.) I was devastated to discover no further episodes after 'Objects in Space' - pretty sure a whole day of mourning went by clothed head to toe in black (and oh my, LOTS of chocolate consumption). To then discover Serenity the Movie was, well... you know that feeling when you've lost a precious something, wracked your mind searching every place your hands have already ransacked a hundred times over, only to see it shining happily up at you just waiting for your return? ...yeah. In someways I am glad I didn't go through all of the go se that those from Day One went through. On the other hand I can't imagine how wonderful it must have felt to accomplish what Firefly's fan base was able to after cancellation. I really love the premise Joss came up with: the blending Eastern & Western cultures, the central planets, the rim, Companions, defining morality where there are no clear lines, the continuation of human existence 500 years from today in a realistic and relatable realm... a person could get lost in that, and you know what? We did! BodyIsMyTemple

Ah, frying pan, alas it is time we part ways. I long for my good ol'friend, the fire. I'm not in love with the fire, but it seems to be where I find myself...a lot...we've come to know each other very, very well over the years. We've developed a certain affinity. Fret not, dear frying pan, someday I will feel the need for stability and then I will join you again. But not today... Today, I fly by the seat of my pants. I rolls the dice and takes my chances. I jump right off the goram cliff and hope the bottom don't hit back too hard. Today is the day. Carpe mother-fuckin' diem, man! It's time for some thrilling heroics. Wish me luck...

Howdy FFF.net Just updating a bit. I haven’t given up hope……..not one iota on Firefly, not one minuscule bit! Why the networks seem to think that it was some flash in the pan type of tv phenomenon is beyond me. F*>

Oh, beautiful curry, How do I love your nuclear shade? I can count so many ways. I love you when I spill you on my shirt, and eat a hole right through. I love your smoking ass hot delicious taste, and even the curry farts too. I love the colonic scarring, your spice is sure to cause some pain, I love you when the tears spill from my eyes like drops of blood-tinged rain. My breath could drop a camel, but the other end's much worse You'll want to leave that fan on when you hear my howling curse I love you, Vindaloo. I just wish you loved me too.

Whelp, that was an interesting side trip. Fun, packed in a lot of work in a short little while. Was managing about half a page of writing a day. That's a blistering pace for me, really. Sent off the last section for my friend to read just now, he's been editing and starting to put in his own contributions again, which is good, it's a sign he's feeling better. Plus, this was a difficult chapter, and he thinks the next one's will be easier because there's more of the character interaction he likes writing. So, that said, I'll be getting back to work on Eidolon tomorrow. Say, since I've brought Inara back, it occurs to me, I could use someone to be my anti-froofaraw/voice of reason. Any volunteers? Bonus points if you're willing to smack me upside the head if I'm pouring on too much of the romantic florid prose-y stuff... Especially since this is going to be a Mal chapter coming up, and I have been told I need to watch that, because it starts to sound out of character.

Shame there is only one a week :) Tonight's my Firefly drooling night, can't wait to get home and re watch all our belovered crew again and again and again :)

Had this weird dream where I was going to a party, held in either a house or a club house. As I wandered up the walk, I strolled next to Summer, and what appeared to be her date, some guy who I did not recognize. Oddly, Summer was wearing what I can best describe as camo fatigue inspired outfit. Not sure if it was a costume party, or what, but she looked great in it, even though it doesn't sound all that flattering. I got the impression that there'd be other BDHs at this party, and sure enough, I saw Jewel there too. Don't recall to much else, but that the party just getting started, and we were among the first to arrive.

I am finally giving in to my chronic wanderlust, and going. Not really sure where as of yet, but going. Never really been west of the Mississippi before, so that's as good a place to start as any. Packing up the car like the Clampetts and rolling cross-country. Ought to be an adventure, anyways. I always wanted to see what else is out there, but I tended to let anything and everything serve as an excuse for not just doing it. No more excuses. End of September, I'm going mercenary. Here's hoping it doesn't all go way south...

So my boy and I were watching Firefly. Afterwards, I picked up the individual cases and just quickly shoved them back into the box. Mike quickly shouted, "Be careful!" to which I was a little confused...it's hard to hurt the cases when putting them into the box. Well, he took out the cases and pulled out this white thing and carefully smoothed it out. It was the napkin on which I had written my phone number almost three months ago! When I looked at him he simply said, "It seemed like the right place to keep it." My boy knows me so well!!!! ^______^

Apparently, anyway, according to this guy in an army jacket who was walking behind me on the street. Although I couldn't tell if he was actually talking to me, or if he just had Tourette's. There was a lot of mumbled swearing involved, couldn't hear much. But he did give me a filthy look! So, as newly appointed dictator-for-life, I'm excited, this could be fun. I think my first order of business will be to enslave the peons... Oh. Damn. Well, then, my next order of business is to create a secret watch over all the citizenry and institute torture practices on dissidents... DAMMIT! Well, then, I'll raise taxes and not make any sign of ever paying off an ever increasing national debt while the same time I'll create programs to make the citizens dependent on the government for all their basic needs because their income can no longer support themselves! MWAHAHAHAHA!
