If it's not one thing, it's another...

I have come to the conclusion that i am indeed a sci-fi fan. This is a big break through for me. Since I was about 10 years old I had been a huge fan of the horror genre. Just to clear things up, I still love my horror, however lately i have been finding myself wanting some spaceship action. About two, maybe three, weeks ago a friend of mine made me watch Zathura, not a bad movie, not great, but enough to get me wanting more. Next another friend lent me Firefly, and we can all see where that led me to. Since then i have been doing nothing but watching all these fun sci fi shows and movies. I still love my Evil Dead trilogy, and now I love my Firefly & Serenity.

ignore... just thinking out loud

Everthing ends... unless you want it to. Summer is almost gone, as are many of my friends, and anything that temporarily makes me content. Anything that makes me happy these days can be compared to a drug, bringing extreme joy/hyperness and then lassitude. Like the ultimate hangover. Lately I feel stupid and stuck and I don't know how to fix things. I'm considering just starting afresh, but I don't know how and what I could change. Right now I just feel cold and confused, and I'm not going to pretend I'm okay anymore.

Oh Luck Be Serenity Tonight!

I went to play Bingo tonight (the prize is $1000 a game) since I needed to get away from the kids. I brought my Ipod with me to pass the time between numbers quicker so I let it shuffle all the songs. While I was playing I realized that whenever a Serenity soundtrack song came on I got the numbers I really needed. It was the weirdest thing. Needless to say I lost. it didnt dawn on me to play just the soundtrack until Bingo was over. What can I say, I'm slow. Maybe she'll bring me good luck again next time. Maybe if I win instead of shouting "BINGO!" , I'll shout "SERENITY!" instead. hehe.. i can just imagine the looks I'll get.

MOM Update
Thursday, 17 August 2006 19:15:11

Sorry NV - Should have said. Mom is doing well surgery wise. She looks great and is up and around. Unfortunately there was a complication that has yet been identified. She can not use her left arm at all and her right arm, will it has mobility has no strength. She is seeing lots of doctors and has been prescribed some physical therapy. The Doctors and Physio's are all stymied as there has been no stroke or injurty that can be identified. So good wishes for the FMFMOM :)

JOSSISAGOD, more venting!

So, my birthday's coming up in a few days, and the ONE thing I want is, the Buffy: Chosen Collection. Which is on Amazon.com is $199.98. I guess our coin situation is tighter than usual on acount of the new counter tops we just got. So, I've either got to pick ONE season (Good luck with THAT!), or pick something else. (I tried this, by picking Dark Angel season one and two, and got a groan from my father!) Some back story for this, my younger brother got a $600 drum set for his birthday (he paid for half, which I'd be glad to do for my birthday if I had a paying job.) I just find it interesting that my parents are willing to spend $300 for an annoying drum set, and not a third of what that cost, for a television series that their number 2 enjoys. I love my family very much, and would be happy to go without prezzies this year, it just erks me that, they spend the money on number 3's birthday and they suddenly don't have the money for a RELATIVLY speaking cheaper gift for my birthday. oh, well, the world doesn't revolve around ME! If your smart you'll let this blog die.
