GAH! how do you get banners to work.....

so i want to put a banner in my sig (yes i've uploaded it into Photobucket). yet NONE of the three options seem to work =

1) is simple "URL"

2) is a "Tag" (THIS: <a href="http://photobucket.com"; target="_blank"><img src="; border="0" alt="Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting"></a> )

3) is another simple "IMG"

Please help. I have no idea what to do
