You know the drill, or you might not...I've been missing in action for awhile now. People talk to me...Then I respond. Like most people, I usually think something different than I actually say. These are some of the results. At Work: SWOSS: But, we're going to see Harry Potter on Sunday. Me: (Bullshit! I went to see that one lame flick, with Darth What'sHisNuts in it. The least you can do is come see Serenity with me!) Yeah, but Serenity is a one time thing...There's plenty of Potter to go around. (Please God! Don't let him do his Dobby impression!) On Vacation: lilmanwithpez: Granny! My penis is too big! Me: (I know I'm going to hate myself for the rest of my life for laughing at that...But, come on! Did I really just hear my son tell his great-grandmother that his penis was too big?)... (Honestly, I can't think of anything to say. Also...That's my boy!!!) On The Phone: daughterlikemother: I'm going to spank you in half! Me: (You know, if it wasn't so sassy, I would think that was one of the cleverest things I've ever heard! Spank you in half...HA! I'm going to have to remember that one.) Who do you think you're talking to? At The Gym: Hawaiian Lion: I've never tried to kill anyone with a racquetball before. Me: (The large bump on the back of my head states otherwise...) That's okay man. At Home Again: lilmanwithpez: When dissy (that's sissy, meaning his sister) get home, we go hannoween! Me: (Oh, he does love his Halloween, doesn't he. And, know I have to be the asshole that tells a two year old that Halloween only comes once a year...Would that it were everyday!) Halloween's over son. But, you still have some of your trick or treat candy left. (Minus all the Three Musketeers I ate out of it...What do you know...I AM an asshole!) And, that's all I got to say (or think) about that...

I bought the "Firefly" series just Monday and Have been watching 2-4 episodes a night. Tonight was Our Mrs. Reynolds and Jaynestown. Both offered a interesting perspective on life. Just the a whole deal about morals and ethics and what is right and wrong. In Jaynestown, Jaynes is faced with the reality of who he is opposed to who the mudders think he is. He reveals who truly is after a boy is shot and killed while saving his life. It doesn't make sense is what he says. But in the same time frame Shephard is trying to explain to River about Faith and belief. The kid that saved Jaynes life believed in him, enough so that he was willing to die for him. Kinda weird don't you think. That a guy died without knowing fully who Jayne was. Made me think.

Wow. Three months? Where have I been? More on that later. As for where I'm GOING ... well, for one, I'll be at the Regal Hollywood 27 in Nashville, Tenn. for the next to last showing of Serenity tomorrow night. So, if you're in the area, come by and ask all the guys you see if they are STEVEthePIRATE from fireflyfans.com ... and when you get to me, watch as I deny it for fear that my wife and friends will think I'm the biggest dork on the planet for announcing my arrival to a movie that's been out for almost two months. Or, drop by and enjoy the flick again with at least three like-minded Firefly/Serenity fans and one in the making. As for the "More on that later" part ... well, more on that later.

just a rant, you've been warned. so, apparently harry potter comes out today, or tomarrow, or somthing. judging by the way people were dressed at school today. made me a mite upset, actually; i like the books just fine, but so far the movies have been pretty bad, i thought (no offenese to anyone who liked them), and my understanding was that most people agreed. certainly most people at my highschool do. so: another movie, and no reason to think it'll be better then the others, and plenty of reason to think it'll be worse (longer book by several hundred pages, SLIGHTLY longer movie. do the math). i have nothing against harry potter, and hey, if people want to dress up for th movie and such, whatever, thats their affair. most of 'em are normies anyway. what ticked me off is this: school of about 2000 people, im guessing about 100-200 of them were dressed up. so: WHY ARE THEY NOT BROWNCOATS!?!?!?!?!?!? i just dont GET it, they KNOW that hp4 isn't gonna be great, but serenity, even if they hadn't heard anything good, or didnt trust what they heard, it was still a toss-up, rather then hp which is bound to be a let-down. so why did they not all go see serenity? (granted, some of them may not have know anything about it, other then what they read off my t-shirt) BUT EVEN SO! it just doesn't add up. k, im done ranting now.
