Found out today my mom's having medical issues, which she hadn't bothered to tell me of and probably wouldn't have if my stepfather hadn't called me while she was sleeping today to fill me in. While she told me she'd had some abdominal pain a few weeks back and the doctor told her it was just constipation and gave her some heavy duty meds to get things going, she hadn't said anything since so I thought things were okay. Wrong. Apparantly mom's been having more and more pain including back pain which has gotten so bad she hadn't been able to sleep the past few nights. (No mention of this and I last talked with her...YESTERDAY!) She had a CT scan today which is inconclusive and she has more tests schedualed for Thursday. Stepdad sounded a bit shaky when we spoke, but said that they don't know anything yet. Mom sounded okay, but then she's not been saying too much to me, so.... I'm worried as mom had major surgery last year (hysterectomy) when the doctor discovered abnormal cells in a pap test. I may be reading more into this than is warranted as a.) I've got too many years working for a hospital, b.) I'm a natural worrywart and c.) I've been having a boatload of anxiety that I don't know where the hack it came from for the past few weeks. Thanks for letting me vent.

hi there Isn't some graffiti great. I saw a great piece of it today on the bus home, even though it was a little nasty. On a very dirty lorry, alongside all the usual obscenities, someone had written "cleaned by the NHS." However my favourite piece has to be one I saw on a bus stop near where I live. It said "Paula n Roxy are super biches dam rite." You really have to love those chavs and their inability to spell. anyway TTFN Jennifer -x-

Just felt the need to reccomend a book series Eve Dallas books by J.D.Robb I wouldn't reccomend the first book Naked in Death, but if you start with Immortal in Death it'll all still make sense and I promise both men and women will like these. MisterG loves them and he's mostly into David Eddings and such.
