I like cats, dragons, Buffy, Angel, Fray, comics in general, reading, writing, drawing, etc, etc, and so on and so forth. I have too much time on my hands, and spend the majority of it chatting away on the IRC channel (as Poptart) or writing fanfic.
I'm called Poptart on IRC because Poptart is my RL nickname. I prolly should have called myself Poptart here, but I didn't think about it. The story is what I wanted to tell, anyway, so:
I did propsmastering my first semester of college (fall 2002), and they have a tradition of calling female propsmasters proptarts. "They" being people in the theatre industry - at least according to my boss. I don't know why, and I don't know if male propsmasters have any particular name.
Anyway, we already had a Cupcake and a Danish in my department. I don't know how they got their nicks...
But, my boss at that time, the Technical Director (not the aforementioned boss, who is head of Costuming), decided he needed another pastry in the workplace.
Thus, proptart became POPTART! Ho!!!!
Oh... Wait.. Wrong reference. Although not really, since I work in the costume shop NOW and I'm referred to as a Sew-Ho....
