I agree with 8 of your picks. I would ask which planet of the apes? I'd bounce superman. and add children of men and depending on which apes you picked...maybe code 46 or district 9 (hilarious).

So it gets knocked down because it's idea is old?
Because, you know, Superman was a new creation for the movie. And space westerns had never been done before. Or good vs bad, knights resuing the princess type stories had never been seen either.
Just having a 'friendly go at you' is all for knocking my fave time travel film.
