Whoops, no gorram post!
I was wondering if they ever said where Sunnydale was on the show. I know Angel takes place in L.A., and I always got the feeling Sunnydale was in California too.

P.S. Did you see Sealab Sun. night! At the end, Stormy fell into a giant pit with a sign that said "Danger: Hellmouth!"

Yes, they did say that Sunnydale was in California. It's fictional, of course. But, it was made clear that it was in Cali.

In California, up the coast a bit from LA. I got the impression that it was closer to the bay area. In the last season Spike and Andrew head "north" to a mission in Gilroy. Gilroy is below the southern end of San Fransisco bay.

Funny, I live in SunnyVALE California. My folks back east used to ask me about the vampire problem here.

Not sure about Sunnydale. But Sunnyvale is part of the one great megopolis that winds around the SF bay area. It is between Santa Clara and Mountain View on the western side of the bay.
