The guy is a decorated war vet. He may have some lingering issues. Regardless, Obama should have picked up his little phone, called his Mexican douche counterpart phony president, and gotten him released on day one. Instead a real US war hero is held in a dirty cell, chained naked to his bed, and beaten regularly. Apparently Obama will only get involved for deserters and traitors.

Does the Mexican authority do that? I thought it was mostly the drug runners. Though I suppose at this point we can't be sure which is which.

Go to Mexico on foot, do biz, return on foot to car.
Leaving P-n-r, want to go north in California, make wrong turn (who knows if any signs in CA are in English anymore).
Cannot turn around, cannot change direction.
Arrive at Border Guard booth, ask to turn around, explain you don't want to go into Mexico, you were just there.
Informed you cannot turn around without going into Mexico.
Border person asks if you have any guns in your car.
Answering honestly, yes, that was the reason you didn't take the car into Mexico on your biz.

Have you been to the westernmost boarder? Many lanes, highway dividers - you cannot turn around without a tank, and it's still illegal.
Mexican authority? Are you kidding? Anybody there who was honest was beheaded by the cartels years ago.

I guess the part where he takes the road which says " TO MEXICO " instead of the one which says " USA -> THAT WAY ".
Hey, I'm not saying it's not a colossal screw job. After all the crap we've done for Mexico, they're treating him worse than we treat cartel drug smugglers.
As for Bergdahl, it seems he's finally coming back to the USA.
Which is kinda funny, because he's been hold up in Germany since May 31st, and just 1 day after SecDef Hagel makes a complete ASS of himself getting grilled on the Hill, because he couldn't answer the simple question of why it's taking so long for this guy to return to the states, gee, pure coincidence, here comes PFC Bergdahl !
