It's from the 1987 movie Summer School. That song sung by E.G. Daily was a cover version of an unreleased Debbie Harry song. You may remember E.G. as Elizabeth Daily who appeared in many 80's movies including Valley Girl, Streets Of Fire, and Pee Wee's Big Adventure.

I did not know that. 
I recall the movie Summer School, but never did actually see it.
Also, 1st time I remember seeing Courtney Thorne Smith was in the 1 season series , Day by Day. No reason I should have watched it, other than for her.

E.G.'s music career didn't last very long. I think she got the idea after filming Streets of Fire, where she played a groupie who idolized singer Ellen Aim (Diane Lane). Her acting career is still alive and kicking, and she's been working steadily for the last 35 years. What's funny is I best know her as the girl who made out topless with and then got burned by Deborah Foreman's val dude Tommy. (and I don't even get paid to know that!)
As for CTS ... the same year as Summer School she was also in Revenge of the Nerds II. A year before that she was in the tv series Fast Times at Ridgemont High. She was 19 then. That series got cancelled after only two months, but I remember thinking she had something special.

Hehe... I can't imagine what you're talking about MD. I know that Eternal Flame (Say My Name) is a blatant remake, but i'm a very visual person. VERY vanilla on the surface. It's all about subtext....
I'd be willing to wager quite a bit that I'm the least vanilla person here above 25 years old. Maybe I'm wrong, but I don't think so....
