I guess the lyrics for a song that blames Hillary for Benghazi wasn't hip enough for The Boss to perform, so he went with doing one for Christie and Bridge-Gate.

If ever there was a case for putting to song of this country cutting and running, it's Benghazi. But as it doesn't fit's cultural view of the world, they'll ignore it.

Geezer, what you will never see in your blindness is that Benghazi has been discussed and discussed to death here for how many months now, whereas the bridge thing has lost most peoples' interest already, as well as the fact that people here on the left have decried what happened in Benghazi quite clearly, as well as decrying the IRS scandal, the NSA problems, Obamacare rollout, drones, Gitmo and many other things. You live in a black-and-white world where anything "left" is just as bad as humanly possible, all those on "the left" are only what you make them out to be, and you can't see beyond that.

And you will go on and on claiming you're not right wing.

Disengenuous a bit? How about we count up all the endless Benghazi posts, and weight them against a few about the bridges.

But you won't. That wouldn't fit your narrative.

Benghazi has been dismissed as being caused by a video ( it wasn't ) or simply ' one of those things' that was caused by the GOP's cutting of funds. What hasn't been mentioned nearly enough is that this administration and Hillary in particular were grossly incompetent , at best. And most of the decrying of those other things have come from the Right, with the " Left " here dismissing pretty much all of it, out of hand, or in the case of the NSA stuff, putting most of the blame on Bush, not Obama.

Yep. And a good bit of it was excuses why it couldn't have been prevented, or why no one could do anything, or that it was no one's fault, or that it was all the Republicans' fault, or that it was just folks outraged about a video, etc.

The Senate report gives a clear picture that failings in the State Department and the intelligence community, and lack of communication between agencies, was greatly to blame.

When you consider that the head of the State Department at the time of the Benghazi attack will probably be running for president in a short while, it does seem important to mention the senate's view.

Now if someone who was in in Bush's administration with oversight of embassy security was running for president shortly, I'd expect that to be brought up as well.

*face palm*

It is somewhat ironic that we call them "intelligence" agencies when they do stuff like this. Adds a whole other meaning to "taking secrets to the grave."

Appears the Obama administration didn't want the bad press to influence the election. Not really that surprising.

Gee, ya think? Add also all that talk of GM being alive while bin Laden is dead, with the lie that al Qaeda was all but finished, and this admin paints a real pretty picture for the US voters, huh?

second - dig the Kaylee art.I have a "Rosie the riveter " magnet on my fridge.

Bullshit, all of it.

The ONLY reason the rightwingnuts wanted to throw more US Servicepeople under the bus was to create even more outrage when they were slaughtered by locals rather justifiably pissed off by us violating their sovereignity by using our embassy not only as a C3 center for the overthrow of the legitimate government of the country it was based in, but also torturing some of those locals in the basement till they told us what we wanted to hear, accurate intelligence be damned.

Gee, that other locals would get pissed off about it is something you don't need a useless, counterproductive and downright fuckin treasonous "Intelligence Agency" to tell you - nor is the fact that adding another platoon against THOUSANDS of Opfors would be a goddamn fart in the wind and insure their deaths as well, not that the reichwing cares about em save as political points to whinge about anyways....

And ask yourself WHO was demanding our hand-handed, invite-to-disaster, doomed-to-fucking-fail "intervention" anyways, erm-hmm ?
Why these self-same scumbag fucknuts oh so desperate to take attention from the fact that THEY pushed for this disaster, after having been TOLD it would be a disaster, out of idealogical reasons which *make no sense*, and by doing so directly themselves contributed to casualties which were INEVITABLE from the moment we got involved, as a natural course of events they were fully warned about in advance.

So take every whiner who wants to point the finger at the administration for not throwing more troops under the bus to die pointlessly and slather them with the blame for having forced the involvement, malice, and perfidy which caused those casualties in the first friggin place, cause they deserve no less.

As usual, it's all about the cowards of the reichwing denying and defying all responsibility for their own actions, so desperate to point the finger somewhere, anywhere else, that they'd condemn any number of our own troops they only pretend to care about to grisly slaughter than ever have to face up to the RESPONSIBILITY of their own actions, in perfect keeping with their sociopathic Randroid so-called-ethics.

And still, you sneer at me when I call these scum insane.

I follow your lead.

I only compare in regards to information received prior to the attack that wasn't followed up by the proper authorities. There too was failure in communication and resulted in Americans losing their lives.

Was that due to a failure by the administration at the time? Or was it due to an individual?

My point being that it's something that happened due to a breakdown in communication within the state department, the CIA and the Embassy. Of course, it's a lot more than that.

Laughable and sad that you'd compare a complicated and coordinated covert attack on multiple sites here in the US to a open military attack on a sole US compound in Libya, following that country's civil war.

It was never about a video, and this administration KNEW it.

ETA - And no, cuts in funding had zero to do w/ why this attack took place.
