... Some friends of mine were at the Texas Capitol building today, and took some pictures. Actress Stephanie March (Law & Order, Law & Order: SVU) was there to speak; she's a friend of theirs, and from our hometown in West Texas (not West, Texas, which is a town, but West Texas, which is a geographical area of the state).

Hee, hee, hee; that's great, Mike! I read about the impending demonstration, sighed and thought to myself "But it won't mean a damned thing, 'cuz they're not in the government"...we've seen enough times in the past few years just how little some in government give a damn for the will of the people, and this will sadly just be another demonstration of same.
Good for them, nonetheless.
ETA: To answer your question, of the three news sources I check first every day, nothing on Time or Christian Science Monitor, two stories on the filibuster/special session on CNN. On the protest: Nada. Bit surprise...

Yeah, Rick Perry and the GOP are big supporters of "democracy" - right up until THE PEOPLE actually show up to have their say and be heard.
