Well Geezer, if all you care about are assault rifles and if all the government cared about were assault rifles you might have a point. But if you are to look at guns of all types, as the government is, from your very own link, you'd see they are used far more often in murders than anything else
Remember, this is from YOUR link
Handguns 6,220
Rifles 323
Shotguns 356
Other guns 97
Firearms, type not stated 1,587
All guns 8583
Knives or cutting instruments 1,694
Blunt objects (clubs, hammers, etc.) 496
Personal weapons (hands, fists, feet, etc.) 728
All other 2918
ENJOY YOUR NEXT FOUR YEARS!
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA - HERE'S LAUGHING AT YOU KID!

" I suspect whatever happened to PN was more horrible by an order of magnitude and he bears a heavy weight of personal guilt about it, but I doubt you'd ever get the truth out of him now, if he even remembers what it was."
This is obviously not my field, but I did poke around and find it's possible to be both schizophrenic and PTSD. The fact that PN does this to boost his business, and that he becomes routinely more coherent around the holidays (good grief, will you just take your meds so we can have a reasonable family holiday??!!) makes me think he's a not terribly out of control schizo.
The person I feel the most sorry for is DT. Now there's a person who is clearly suffering, rather than profiteering.

Well yeah, he plays it up, I think, along with his own version of yellow journalism sensationalism.
I've had a few fairly coherent discussions with him, especially in regards to some of the Franklin Coverup mess cause it really WAS that awful, and having crossed paths with it in respect to my Hellcamp bashing I know some of the horrific details I'd rather not - THAT one gets so goddamn woo-woo-weird in places that even when presented with the evidence most people go WTF?! and dismiss it out of hand, plus there's been some continuance of it via Jack Abramoff taking over that cabal for a while, and the whole White House Boys (complete with credit card recipts), on top of the "Jeff Gannon" Talon News Scandal.
He might be nuts, but he ain't THAT nuts, and some rare few of the things he talks about have at least a little merit in there, somewhere.

I agree it's certainly much more likely the govt slaughtered those kids in a false flag attack as confessed in Operation Northwoods, than stage a fake shooting with actors as confessed in Operation Northwoods.
Is it too late to awaken people who don't 'get it' yet?

"The most stunning statistic, however, is that the total number of deaths caused by conventional medicine is an astounding 783,936 per year. It is now evident that the American medical system is the leading cause of death and injury in the US. Using Leape's 1997 medical and drug error rate would add another 216,000 deaths, for a total of 999,936 deaths annually. Our estimated 10-year total of 7.8 million iatrogenic* deaths is more than all the casualties from all the wars fought by the US throughout its entire history. Our considerably higher figure is equivalent to six jumbo jets are falling out of the sky each day."

Yet the thrust of the newest legislation is pretty much all focused on 'assault weapons'. Obama, Biden, Feinstein, etc. go on endlessly about the horrors of these firearms, when non-firearm weapons are demonstrably more dangerous.
If you want to stop violence, why not do something about the violence?

I think the reason for focusing on assault weapons (forgive me if I missed this point in the thread already) is that they are often used to shoot white middle class people. A lot of gang warfare shootings are with handguns, but nobody in the middle class gives a rat's ass about that.

Aside from that, there's an effort to re-look at gun registration and loopholes - things that affect all guns, not just 'assault rifles'.
Geezer, sometimes your deliberate mendacity amazes me.

They like to pretend that was an isolated incident, but I can tell you for a fact it wasn't - in summer 1988 at the US Army Quartermaster School in Ft Lee, VA, I was handed a very similar survey by my Sergeant and instructed to fill out and return it - I was kind of offended about it, and when I came to the question about whether I'd fire on americans who refused to hand over their weapons I crossed it out with a big X and wrote in the margin that if given this order I would then immediately arrest and detain the officer in question, removing him from command and rendering him to the civil authorities for trial at the first opportunity, in accordance with the UCMJ (military justice code).
That evening the Sergeant returned with the commanding officer of the unit in tow and they very bluntly informed me that any hope of a military career for me was absolutely over and that I would never, ever be promoted again - followed by offering a straight up no consequences immediate discharge, just pack my shit and walk away, without question or penalty.
Having at the time nowhere left to go, and a burning hatred for all humanity I desperately wanted to drown in blood (which Lindyear took advantage of, later), I told them where to stick it, but that threat of no promotion ever was no empty one, I remained a mere E-3 right up till I *did* tell them to jam it and walked.
The correct answer for any American patriot obeying the Constitution is, "Yes, I would gladly fire on Americans who refuse to hand over their weapons!"
What is left unsaid: "I would enthusiastically participate in mass arrests of traitors in the White House, Congress, Pentagon, state capitols and city councils. Any who resist must be dealt with according to law, including use of deadly force and justifiable homicide in self defense, same as in every other criminal arrest."
That's THE LAW.

What does the author of one of America’s best-selling novels about children killing each other for sport and the Sandy Hook Elementary shooting have in common? The answer is both of them claim Newtown, Conn., as their residence. Suzanne Collins, the award winning best-selling author of The Hunger Games trilogy, lives with her family and writes in the quaint Northeast community of Newtown. She shares her picturesque town with the 27 victims who were murdered – 20 of whom were children – in the tragic massacre that took place there on Dec. 14. As punishment for a past rebellion, children between the ages of 12 and 18 are forced to hunt down and kill one another in a televised contest – similar to gladiator events of ancient Rome – until only one child remains.

The next family in our series of articles on the top 13 Illuminati families is the Collins family. The following is a description of a highly secret high level Satanic meeting. It comes via an ex-insider who is now a Christian. The Grande Mother, a Collins woman was thought to be in her middle 50’s at the time of this meeting, she had a deep dictatorial voice, was small in stature, and was very powerful. She was decked out on her throne with a great deal of jewelry. One of the first things done was to lay before her feet small gold bricks (shaped like small bricks and made of pure gold). Two boys, who were taken to be her sons, one of whom was Tom Collins, (Tom was later gunned down by the Illuminati) were near her throne. Seven children in white were brought in from generational Satanic families and presented before Grande Mother Collins. They laid prostrate in worship of her. Even absent the context of the discussion. "assault weapons" followed by "these firearms" shoud clue you in to a comparison between assault weapons and non-firearm weapons.
Ans since all rifles, not just 'assault weapons', are used in less that 4% of firearms murders, I'm not sure that they're 'often' used to shoot anyone, much less white middle-class people.

Any legislation other than Feinstein's bill?
