I'm smellin' an awful lot of "or so we're told" and "allegedly" comin' offa this story.
And speaking of how quickly people seem to forget, I remember a certain U.S. warship shooting down an Iranian airliner in international airspace, too.
I'm sure they had their reasons, though. Right?

I'm not sure how our snooping or their reaction to our snooping is new information or game-changing in any way. I doubt it was politically pertinent to the election.

So you were trying to ridicule the idea of shooting at a drone as being part of "the fog of war", yet you yourself are trying to claim that the U.S. shooting down an Iranian airliner over the Strait of Hormuz (far removed from the Iran/Iraq border) was a part of "the fog of war"?
And then you bring up an incident from more than a year earlier to try to bolster your "fog of war' falsehood? Are you trying to say that the shoot-down was retaliation for the Stark? Doesn't really play into the whole "fog of war" narrative, does it?
