For those NOT involved in a true tea ceremony, knoshing on artichokes al la Thorne {

For those engaging in above stated events -- it probably is around ... 8 to 10-ish?

That's an interesting question, a demension I don't recall explicitly covered in any episode: how do such variables as assignations between the Diplomat and clients, delivery of consignments, train-to-be-robbed timetables match up? In ancient China (don't know about now), there were no 'date lines' or 'time zones'... there was just the 'emperor's time'. so, if it was analagous to 2am on the great wall and noon in the eternal city, it was still noon everywhere... or go i gather. In america, train schedules and telegraph communications were the beginning of a concept of different time zones as travel speeded up and differences became more noticeable. So, where does that leave a poor smuggler, trying to keep a reputation intact? Must have been standardized by the Alliance, with everywhere-the-same-no-matter-what... just like their overall philosophy. But then, what with the spirit planetary nationalism and so on, there still must be allowances for incredibly diverse variations, based on everything from planetary rotations to cultural remnants.
