By the way-Squee, I will be incorporating the other post with Mel's arc, so there's a bit more af a melding betwenn the two. I got's da plan, here.

Hey gunrunners and hitchers - sorry I've been AWOL of late. I know I said it would change during my quarter break, but then my folks came down for some medical brou-haha.

Here's how it is - My dad had a heart murmur, so they came down last month to figure out how come. Figured out that it's a faulty valve. They came back this week to figure out which one. Turns out it's one of the aortics (dunno which) and today he's back to figure out exactly when - not IF, but WHEN - he's going to have surgery.

Suffice to say, I've been a wee bit distracted. I've also been chief cook for supper the last couple of nights. Last night because I'm the only one in the house who knows how to cook with fire, tonight because I'm the only one who knows how to make pizza.

I have a Rowan post in progress. I'm going to post what I have now, then come back. I have to review the lingo I used the first time Rowan and Serenity had a discussion.

So that's the scoop. In short, keep praying.

I understand! Things get hard sometimes and the real world is much more important than this one. You just take care of things, ok?

Having said that, I sent you an email a while back - concerning something we were working on. Definitely understand you don't have time to work on it - just wanted confirmation you have it or do you need it again?

Hi folks! And greetings, Melfina.

This is the point where I take a breath as I wait to see of all my long hours of work this past week pay off or if I spend another weekend working. I'm still keeping an eye on the RP, just not as often as I'd like. And I'm gone for 6 days for Thanksgiving this weekend, so don't expect a lot of action from the man they call Jayne.

And happy Oktoberfest to you crazy beer drinkers.

Storm Update - Feel free to ignore...
We got power back, but are still staying with friends - for various reasons, but mostly because of scheduling this week - so computer access will be dodgy the next few days.

The rental house itself didn't take any more damage, but the magnolia tree dropped a whole bunch more branches (thankfully, much smaller this time!) into the neighbor's yard. We'll be spending tomorrow morning cleaning up the debris.

We now return you to your regularly scheduled mayhem...
