The above quotes from Hero are neither predictions, nor factual.

HKCavalier

Hey, hey, hey, don't be mean. We don't have to be mean, because, remember, no matter where you go, there you are.

There's a bit of a prediction at the end of the second quote... They fall into the category of 'statements that it will be interesting to look back on once the election is over and the debates' impact are truly understood'.

It's not personal. It's just war.

Rappy predicts "And this is BEFORE Mitt's 2 terms as President."

He's already called this election and the next one as well!

Signy - "Obama will keep things on a more-or-less barely tolerable level. But every step Romney takes will be a step closer to economic Armageddon."

Hero (to Story) - "It's worse then you think. The polls are still over sampling democrats. That means the shift is far, far more dire then you think."

Hero asks: "What is his (Obama's) plan for all the Doctors who plan to stop or reduce their practice because of ObamaCare?"

Pre 3rd debate predictions:

kpo - "I predict no clear winner in this one."

HK - "Romney's mush-mouthism will be up for discussion in all but the most conservative media. He's in a bind, because all of the right's talking points--Obama is a failure, Obama wants to shut down the Defense Department--simply can't hold up in a two-way conversation. Obama's gonna spike the ball on this one, but the media will continue to strive for "balance" and downplay Obama's obvious command of the stage. In any case, Obama win."

Hero - "Barrack Obama will be cold."

Mal4:

"1. There won't be any sound bite as good as "binders full of women". It's just not possible to top that. Prove me wrong, Mitt. I dare you.

2. There's going to be some serious fireworks of disagreement between Mitt and July Mitt and May Mitt and let's not even talk about the severity of dissonance with February Mitt.

3. Mitt will tell us 20 times how he's going to fix EVERYTHING, but he will never say how he actually plans on doing any of it.

4. Obama will do a lot of braying about his foreign policy successes, but sadly won't do enough calling out of Mitt's failures."

Post 3rd debate fallout:

Hero - "In short Romney did not lose, nor did he win...Obama however lost big..."

Jongs - "I don't know how Obama "lost big". I watched the debate, I didn't see that."

Jongs - "I think the current trends and numbers favor Romney to win, but I'm cautious to believe that..."

Niki - ""Will it turn out that etch-a-sketch can really win?" I'm fearful it might. Or that, if it's close, all the various voter-suppression techniques will win it for him. Talk about scared shitless..."

Niki - "We are in for bad times if Romney wins, far worse than we've seen yet. Ironically however, if he and the Repubs did nothing at all, we'd most likely continue on this slow road to recovery and the Repubs would get the credit. If, however, they put in place the policies they've SAID they would, we're in deep shit. And if Romney wins, I fear we can look forward to further involvement in Afghanistan, return to Iraq and another war...or two...or..."

M52Nick, on Obama if he loses the popular vote but wins the election - "Oh boy would the taking heads on the right lose there minds if that happened."

Ezra Klein, same scenario - "The fiscal cliff is going to be an insane mess."

Kevin Drum (of Mother Jones) - "No matter who wins, I predict that on November 7 Republicans will lose all interest in Beghazi."

Josh Jordan (National Review) - "Nate Silver is openly rooting for Obama, and it shows in the way he forecasts the election."

From the Crystal Ball thread:

WishIMay - "I predict Obummer will win again, solely because the thumbs up thumbs down comment things are almost always in favor of him."

SignY - "I think Romney. Obama looks weak, and Romney is making a lot of promises."

1Kiki - "Given that the numbers are mixed/ close but the Romney side has fired-up intention and energy, I guess I'd go with Romney since they have a better chance of getting out the vote. I also wouldn't rule out voting machine shenanigans."

HK - "Obama wins. A lot of right wingers are fundamentalist Christians and as much as they may tell folk they're "for Romney," when they are alone in the voting booth they won't be able to bring themselves to vote for a satanic cultist. It'll be interesting because there should be a noticeable discrepancy between exit polls saying yea Romney and actual votes counted from folks who couldn't pull for the Mormon. This will fuel a lot of very nasty insinuations from the right and there will be protests and I am here predicting that there will be armed violence coming from the right after the election. I can't tell how bad it's gonna get in general, but in some quarters it's gonna get pretty bad. Not Zombie Apocalypse bad, but overturning cars and setting fires bad and some shootings. There's gonna be an uptick in violent crimes against black people... Obama wins decisively in the EC, and not so decisively if at all in the popular vote. "

Riona - "I predict Obama will win again"

Jo753 - "I predict Obama."

Kwico - "My take? Obama squeaks it out in the electoral college, taking Ohio and Wisconsin, while Romney edges Florida, Virginia, Iowa, and Colorado, but still comes up just shy of the 270 needed."

kpo - "The polls seem to have broke in Obama's favour now - at a good time. Obama to win the electoral college comfortably, and the national vote very slightly. Probably more low, dishonest, dirty tactics from the Romney campaign over the next few days."
