I hate to say it, but that Dawkins guy is kind of a dick. Is this really a quote of his? It can't be real... It has to be somebody completely misquoting him and making a joke. If it isn't a quote of his, please disregard the rest of this post in reply of the pic.



First, talking about "halves" he's delusional. If you add up every person in the world who is an athiest vs. every person in the world who believes in one form of religion or another, there is no "half" about it. I don't even need to do the research on that. Even you can concede that you don't believe that 50 percent of the world population is atheistic.

Second, the comment "the half that believes the world is 6,000 years old" is completely asenine. I grew up Catholic and, though I was never confirmed Catholic, I never once heard anyone in my family or at church even mention this. My first time ever hearing this was on the internet well after I was 20 years old.

Third, I believe the "6,000 years old" theory is something that is exclusive to certain types of Christians and not any other religion. According to Dawkins' quote here, that means that half of the people in the world are that crazy form of Christian and the other half are athiest. I guess Dawkins just wiped out Jews, Catholics (and many other Christian Religions), Muslims, Voodoo practitioners, Wicans, Satanists and hundreds of other religions in one paragraph.

What a powerful man. Adolph Hitler is smiling in his grave now for the first one, and I can think of several rabid Christian looneys that are loving the rest of the aftermath of that powerful quote.

You pretty clearly missed that part of the quote where he specifically referenced AMERICA and half the COUNTRY being prepared to vote for Romney.


Are you saying there's no way half (or more) of the voters in America will vote for Romney?
