I'm having sleepus interruptus........ and we have no rum. Somehow cider just isn't as potent. Oh well I suppose being awake at 2 am allows me to catch up on all the exciting stuff I missed on the interweeb in the last 3 hours! The most interesting of all? Today is national Hidey Thread Appreciation Day! I know this because I have just now made it up!

Have you seen Avengers yet? Which one is your favourite. I spent a very productive 4 hours at work polling all the geeks I know therefore I must continue to gather data.

I went Saturday even though I'm not the biggest fan of supers in general. I went for Joss and Cobie Smulders. I did enjoy the movie maybe even a little more than I thought I would. But not apparently as much as the guy next to me who kept gasping and saying things like, "Oh no he didn't"
My favorite what? Scene? When Thor, Cap. America and Morton Downey were fighting over who got to bring in Loki. Avenger? I wound up liking Iron Man more than I thought I would but the Captain America portrayal was so wonderfully layered. "I actually understood that reference!" still I think Black Widow wins since she doesn't have the god like strength or explosive arrows and so has to solve problems by actually thinking. Also Scarlet Johansson in leather.
I went in as I said in part to see Cobie and while I liked her performance well enough I never felt like there was much reason for her character to be there. But again Cobie Smulders in leather.

Yeah her character seemed out of place. My favourite is Hawkeye. (he's like Batman with arrows.....don't tell Batman I said that ok?) I wasn't all that excited to see it either. I greatly disliked the Thor movie. I liked the Captain America movie even though it was so sad. Still I think of all of them the Hawkeye should get his own movie now too!)

I didn't really get a good impression of what Hawkeye would be like when he isn't being mind controlled or overshadowed by the bruisers but if they did do a movie for him that would mean more Johannsen in that leather jump suit so I'd go.

Well, I confess at least a tiny part (maybe not so much with the tiny) reason that I liked the Hawkeye character so much is cause he looked damn good in his get up.
However..... as much as I enjoyed The Avengers we are getting dangerously close to typing about something on topic (what with Joss being the creator and all....) so perhaps we should now get back to our regularly scheduled makes-n0-sens-to-anyone-but-us-but-not-even-really-to-us-we-are-just-to-stubborn-to-stop-posting thread!
