Speculation/Spoilers about Buffy and the Principal

Am I the only one that thinks the Principal isn't interested in Buffy, but Dawn.
It looks like Dawn might be a potential slayer and if that is the case she'd have a watcher right? And if you are a watcher, what better job to have than the potential slayer's school principal?

True... but what about Kendra's watcher? Although we never meet him, his name was "Sam Zabuto"... I always figured he was Jamaican like Kendra... And with Slayers all over the world, the Watchers would have to be all over the world as well.
Buffy's first watcher (edit, not slayer...) wasn't English (both the one in the movie and the guy they show in flashback on the show are American).
I like the idea of Principal Wood as a potential watcher... so do you think that means that the whole burying Jonathan thing was just him being manipulated by Morphy?
I still think Willow should be a watcher. If they really are grooming Dawn to be a Slayer-in-Training, she'd be a great watcher for her. Plus now that the old (and annoying) core members of the watcher's council are no more, maybe Giles will take over and put an end to the "no parental love of the slayers by watchers" rule. (his "father's love" of Buffy was the reason he was fired in the first place.)
Hey, speaking of Giles' firing and Quentin Travers... In Season 5, Giles was rehired to the council (paid retroactively). And they mentioned just earlier this season that Gile was in a meeting at the council. Why would Quentin tell Buffy he hasn't had anything to do with him since he came back to England? Is this a goof/gaff thing?
