YOU seem to think we live in a world where there needs to be a govt program for ALL of our problems.

The way you act, it's as if you think the govt has and endless vault, full of $, and that it's only because we, as a society, care enough about this or that problem , then we can fix it by throwing federal tax dollars at it, then all will be shiny and good.

Or, as one brilliant person put it - 'I'm here to get some money. Obama money.'.

I do find it amusing that I'm so much the focus of their vitriolic attention, when generally all I've done is dared to offer up my own opinion on certain matters.

They'll quickly forget the times where I say something with which they agree, and toss a white hood and cloak on me, complete with a swastika on the chest, or some such nonsense.

It is rather comical.

Yes, there has been a massive coverup by TEPCO, the IAEA, the NRC, and the pro-nuclear elements (er, so to speak) of the Japanese government on how much of Japan was contaminated. Teachers are getting fired for telling their students it's not safe to play on (contaminated) playgrounds. Beef- contaminated from feed a hundred miles away- was shipped all over Japan. Since the reactors continue to spew contaminated steam, it will only accumulate, and as the wind keeps shifting it will only affect more and more area.

The spent fuel pool of Unit No 3 blew up and pieces of fuel were found miles away. PN was right on the money when he said "Oh look at the pretty MOX missiles!" It's fair to say that much of northern Japan was contaminated even worse than Chernobyl. That is what scientists are saying who have been to BOTH areas. And I don't mean alarmists, I mean sober-sided doctors and physicists like Arnie Gunderson, who (if anything) has always erred on the side of under-estimating the catastrophe. I'll try and get that interview for you... coming from Arnie, it was downright chilling.

Anyway, if you want to be infuriated, watch this video of locals confronting Japanese government officials.

It's more than that Kwicko. My daughter is disabled. When rappy says that the disabled should be left to flounder and perish, that is a very real threat against a VERY real person.

I know many working poor - most of them head-and-shoulders above rappy. When rappy says they should be scraped off because they're not sociopathic assholes like he is, that is a vey real threat against very real people.

The "collateral damage" in Iraq? Very real people. Real women, real children, real grandmas and grandpas, and really very dead.

These people are just as real as the peeps in the video, and just as real as rappy. If he perceives a threat, it is only a 1/10 of what he threatens every day.

Also, I seem to recall Mal kicking a minion through a jet, and ready to shove a greedy asshole out an airlock. Who says I'm a progressive? Unlike progressives, I don't happen to believe that EVERY person is worthwhile. There are SOME people not worth the air they breathe. Being composted somewhere is prolly the most productive they'll ever be.
