Those without sense of urgency shall perish...

Geeze... the power of it all. Devastating just doesn't cover it.

Terrible how those folks couldn't run faster, as all that was barreling down on them. And all those people in their cars.... what were they listening to, to be so oblivious of what was happening, and about to happen.

Rush Limbaugh.

The people who were slowed up were old, or carrying the elderly. Later reports said that those in the video made it up the hill. It's hard to tell from the video, presumably those on the hill knew who arrived and who didn't, and those at the bottom were caught at the edge of the tsunami, not with its full force, so I guess it's possible.

According to rappy, they should have just left the old. Scraped 'em off into the maelstrom to die. After all, there is no shortage of human parasites. And every society needs a good fleabath once in a while, so good riddance to 'em.

Isn't that right, rappy?

Yours is a lame attempt at humor, kwickie.

If they were listening to Rush, it wasn't a live broadcast. Japan is 13 hrs ahead of EST.

And I'm just curious, why do you feel the need to follow up my post, in almost every thread, regardless of forum, and comment on what I have said, regardless of what the subject may be ?

Do you have a crush on me ? I'm just asking, because it seems a bit queer. ( in the odd sense, and maybe the homosexual way too. )

How is that 'according to rappy ' ? Are you asking for my view, or are you telling me what I think ?

You're ridiculous in your assumption, of course, but it seems you've made up your mind.

Rappy, son, I'm quoting you. But in case you can't read what's just below my name or would prefer we forget it, here is the quote

"You speak of 'the young, the old, the sick' as if they're an endangered species"

Now, I know you're going to say I'm taking that out of context, so I will bring up extended quotes from that thread in which you reveal your anti-human philosophy. And I guarantee than IN context you'll look even worse.

You're not quoting me, even remotely, w/ regards to those in Japan. This view of me you're presenting is completely fabricated in your mind, and no where else.

I have a very pro human philosophy, actually. It's just think that most people aren't reminded of how incredible they are, and fail to reach anywhere near their potential.

It's YOU who is stuck in the group mentality mindset, of seeing people only as members of this or that group, set, sub-set, etc...

You misreading and misrepresenting my view is a standard tactic of the Left. I'm not afraid of you putting any or all of my words, because I said them, I know what I meant when I said them, and you'd do yourself some good to re-read them and try to understand them yourself, instead of inventing some twisted, inverse point of MY opinion.

ACTUALLY, I AM, and I fabricate nothing. I found the thread, and ... curiously... we were talking about a video clip of the tsunami very much like this one, and about the elderly victims as part of the discussion. TonyT and I were discussing your response to the BP gulf spill and the tsunami, and he said that he thought you would post about a tragedy to get sympathy, and that you were just crying crocodile tears. So, yeah, were were SPECIFICALLY talking about the tsunami and your response to it, and debating your humanity.

Here, let me start with this one:

Quote:

As for comments made... I deny nothing. I defend that which matters to me, and I apologize for nothing.
Glad you set that straight! Now, let's see you weasel out of them!

From the same thread, where we were specifically discussing the possible elderly victims of the tsunami
Quote:

Yeah, god forbid people should care about other people and make provisions for the young, the old, the sick and the disabled. WORK - OR DIE AND BE TRAMPLED! -1KIKI

America loves a winner!
You speak of 'the young, the old, the sick' as if they're an endangered species, or some sort of wild animals. They're humans. The smartest, most resourceful and amazing life form this planet has ever seen. You, the Left, you treat people like victims. Like helpless sheep, in need of a kind but stern shepherd, along w/ his pack of wolves, to keep us all in line. I do not hold to that view.- Rappy

You haven't addressed the reality of the helpless, except with another irrelevant self-justifying propagandist slogan (which I'm sure you didn't even think of yourself). You are one fucked-up mother, and dumber than a brick. 1KIKI

America loves a winner!
And I'm laughing at you.- Rappy

No, nowhere in that quote did you actually propose that the elderly SHOULD be saved, and made several points why they should not.

From the same thread:
Quote:

Poverty is a mental disease. And it's largely preventable. That's the hard, cold truth of the matter. The homeless are that way because they chose to be that way.

Quote:

It's not about equality, but freedom. The sooner you learn that, the better...Freedom fails is if it's oppressed and crushed, by pure democracy

Quote:

universal healthcare will destroy this country. Period.
Yep, forget about treating the poor!

RAPPY- You may want to slide out from under accountability and the consequences that so rightly belong to you, but the inet has a long memory. You right-wingers have a tendency to forget that.

Done here.

Sig

Just more of the same from you. I say ' teach a man to fish', and you say 'simply give them food, and keep them stupid'

Some how, in your mind, I'M the cruel one.

You should look in the mirror when you feel like blaming anyone.

OK, one last comment:

Do you think the poor don't already know how to fish, to farm, to work hard and be productive? You think you have gems of wisdom to bestow on them? What do YOU know about fishing, or teaching, or programming, or nursing, or working on an assembly line, or anything productive? You know nothing of it. In a lifeboat, you'd be the first overboard, because you really have nothing of importance to offer.
