Just saw this over on CNN.com. First I've heard of it. Might be interesting.

I plan on checking it out along with "Outcasts" on BBC.

But Outcasts has already been broadcast.

Or are those repeats you're talking about?

Any way, I will check it (Falling Skies) out as soon as I can (which depends on whether it will be broadcast in the Netherlands...).

Outcasts starts tonight on BBC-America, but I would suggest you skip it. Potentially good but burdened with poor execution and too much angst. Plus there is no resolution and there won't be any more episodes past the first series of eight episodes.

I will be checking out Falling Skies as I do most every SF show that comes around. I think we can be assured it won't be canceled mid-season, but if it turns out to be good but can't find an audience we may lose out again. Of course, it it's bad I won't hesitate to say so.

I agree. The ideas were great, but the execution wasn't all that great.

Those are disappointing reviews, but I'll give it a once-over anyway. You never know. Now that I'm back into Primeval after only seeing S1, I'll prob use this summer to catch up on that. Plus o guess I have to give Alphas a shot.

I missed like the first 3 minutes, and already I'm lost.

Apparently it starts some months after THEY arrive ? So, like every other alien invasion movie, we're just gonna skip the ' hey , what's that up there, and incoming on the radar ' part of the story, and move right into the 'humans are a rag tag bunch of militants, who live right out in the open, not worried all that much about any aliens coming by and wiping out the rest of them ' part.

Mmmmkay. Got it.

I give it a good, solid "meh". Didn't ABC just cancel a better alien invasion/resistance show?

The only thing better was V had Morena in it! Gotta agree with the "meh" review though.

I'd given some thought to movin' off the edge -- not an ideal location -- thinkin' a place in the middle.

I was kinda looking forward to this one and was going to d/load it but after the 'meh' reviews I think I might wait until it's on over here in the UK. It gives me a chance to see how the other episodes play out and whether it's worth investing the time.
