Shocking Revelation – Scottish Independence Candidate Lord Monckton Gagged by Scottish TV

Christopher Walter Monckton, 3rd Viscount Monckton of Brenchley (born 14 February 1952) is a British politician, public speaker,[1] former newspaper editor and hereditary peer. Formerly a member of the Conservative Party, Monckton has been the deputy leader of the UK Independence Party since June 2010. In 2011 he stood as lead party-list candidate for UKIP in the Scottish Parliament constituency of Mid Scotland and Fife.

In 1999, Lord Monckton created and published the Eternity puzzle, a geometric puzzle that involved tiling a dodecagon with 209 irregularly shaped polygons called polydrafters. A £1 million prize was won after 18 months by two Cambridge mathematicians.[22] By that time, 500,000 puzzles had been sold. Monckton also launched the Eternity II puzzle in 2007, but, after the four-year prize period, no winner came forward to claim the £2 million prize.

Yay

Sorry Will and Kate.

That's what a ship is, you know - it's not just a keel and a hull and a deck and sails, that's what a ship needs.

No, so far the only thing that's happened is that a pro-independance party has won a majority in the Scottish Parliament. Which means that they will have a referendum to secede from the UNITED KINGDOM not the Commonwealth of Nations.

True, but you can't tell me that the Scots aren't a wily and half-crazy people. The plot to steal the stone of destiny wasn't hatched in a day, you know.

They have stockpiles of claymores they've hidden up there, often since 1746, just in case they ever had to fight for their freedom again. And everyone will be thinking, are these dress-wearing nutcases really going to bring swords to a gunfight, and everyone will underestimate them. They've been bidding their time for generations. >_> Least, that's what I've heard.

I wonder how long before they stop paying taxes and tribute, and how long before the monarchy notices.

On a less speculative note, maybe Northern Ireland should secede from the UK and become part of the commonwealth. Might cut down on some of the fighting. Maybe. Will the UK have to change their flag?

Byte, :)

I don't think Northern Ireland (based on the majority of people, about 2/3) wants to sucede. I think more people will have to become nationalists for that to happen. Now granted, nationalists want to rejoin the rest of the island and you're suggesting becoming commonwealth, like Canada, but I don't know that the people who like being part of the UK would want to do the commonwealth thing either.

I hear that the IRA types in NI are stirring again, bummer, they never acomplish anything with that behavior, it doesn't get them what they want so they ought to stop because all that happens is people die and get upset.

So you're saying that PN got his headline 100% wrong. Again.

Imagine my surprise.
