Actually, Payback is a prime example of what I was saying. He appears to be DRAWN to acting in/producing/directing stories with a lot of gore and violence anymore, whatever he did in his younger days.

Yes, Mike, that’s probably the answer, as I’ve not seen any of the other movies you listed.

I had I guess you’d call “issues” with Kevin Bacon for a long time, too, mostly because I didn’t think he could ACT, was just a pretty face. I mellowed toward him after Flatliners, then recently I watched some movie---I forget the title, it’s about a normal Joe Citizen who takes on a gang. In the end he becomes just like them and man, it was a magnificent piece of work. A movie I will never, EVER see again because I’m not into that kind of material, but it made a believer out of me.

PK, that’s pretty much comparable to some of our states having threatened to secede this past election; how they’d survive without the rest of the country and the government would be almost amusing to watch (except for all the innocent people it would hurt, which I’m sure you wouldn’t want to see in Scotland, either). Woops, I see Mike responded similarly. Obviously both of us saw the comparison!

But thank you KPO, for the information you provided. That does put a different light on it, and I found it interesting. Like you, I would be sad to see it, tho’.
