It wasn't $50 million. At $50 million, they can make another RoboCop movie. It was more like $56,000 or something in that range.
Since we're on the subject. The rights to Firefly and Serenity are different, are they not? 'Firefly' is owned by FOX and 'Serenity' is owned by Universal. It's probably more realistic to raise money for a 'Serenity' sequel.

Yes, but only half the fans liked Serenity. I still say that it isn't as good as the series, and I saw it 7 times.
Did you know that a bronze funerary casket with a life-size bust of the deceased would cost $100,000? A friend of mine works at a funeral home. He told us about it.

Okay, I looked it up. Its $50,000. So not so reputable. But this is a guy who thought very seriously about buying a fully operational Dalek so he could tool around London as The Roaming Dalek. I really should have considered the source.

Half? Where are you getting that? I've only met a handful of people who didn't like the movie and I've encountered some who liked the movie but not the show. I'm with you that the series was better, but honestly, I'd be happy with anything more, even gorram webisodes. Comic books just aren't doin' it for me.

Of the Browncoats who are recruited according to the order of the DVDs and then the movie find the movie extremely disappointing.
I'm one of them, and I fought for it; I saw two pre-screenings in the theater, one of them with Ron Glass, and my tagline is a quote from the movie. So between you and me, you could be the one that liked it, I'm the one who didn't - that's half right there.
Most of the time, though, even those half who don't like it will still watch it. Because it's all we have. How is that fair?
I like the comics as well. The artwork has been phenomenal and the story, of course, exceptional. It's not the same as hearing the voices, feeling the raw raggedy edge of the Black again.
I recruited my niece recently. She finished and kept asking me, "Why was this cancelled again?"

People do very strange things, don't they?
Fans brought back Doctor Who by pledging £5 - £10 per person. Doctor Who had 26 YEARS, rather than 13 excellent episodes and a movie that didn't make me feel any better about cancellation.
