We acknowledge she's done good,(yay for her) we are also acknowledging that she's BLOODY OBNOXIOUS!!!

Has naught to do with US, just IS....Her doin' fine works do not make us blind to her personality traits.

Does seem just a tad petty to be hating on Oprah. I'm not a fan of her show (the few times I've tried to watch I've found her audiences to be most obnoxious, "cackle cackle cackle") but I do admire her. Her life seems like a great example of positive achievement.
Is there something on that I missed where she's promoting herself day and night that can't be turned off or changed like a channel?
I also don't mind hearing what charities celebrities promote - in her case especially with her fanbase - it tends to inspire others to do good works.

All people are brainwashed to worship media icons, including politicians. Thus Adolf Hitler and Mao were worshipped as gods, under punishment of death. Prince Charles had a manservant wipe his ass, according to Princess Diana...so he killed her.

If Kitty Kelly had investigated Oprah's business contracts as closely as her sex life, plenty of illegality would probably have surfaced.

Kelly makes this "mistake" in all her books, focusing on "petty" gossip while ignoring heinous crimes.

Apparently Kelly did look into Oprah's bogus "charity" congame.

"Charities" are nothing more than self-owned corporations designed to exempt billion$ from income taxes, with only 5% or less of the "charity's" income donated to actually help needy people, while employing the donor and her friends and family in a lavish lifestyle, tax-free. Goodwill Industries paid its CEO $30-million salary per year. United Way has large modern office buildings in all large towns and cities, with staff living in lakeside mansions. Warren Buffet paid his own "charitable" foundation $30-Billion per year to avoid paying income taxes, and to rob "his" stockholders and GEICO insurance suckers.

Masonic Shriners take donations for "childrens hospitals" and buy teen hookers in Brazil.

There is nothing to admire about Oprah, since her intelligence and wealth are counterbalanced by her insanity and greed.

Homosexuality = FAIL
13-year-old prostitute = FAIL
Abandon and kill her baby = FAIL
Drug addict = FAIL
Fatty addict = FAIL
Unable to walk = FAIL
Fake charities = FAIL
Trailer park trash topics = FAIL
Unwilling to speak to her parents = FAIL
Secret meetings to genocide the planet = FAIL
Selling an illegal alien as "president" = FAIL
Demanding her jet pilot sit on the runway while she sleeps 8 hours = NUTJOB

Oprah could've chosen to be a beautiful married woman with a great family of sober successful kids and grandkids, with or without a successful media empire discussing REAL topics. But she chose the dark side instead.

90% of Amerikans said they would gladly commit murder if paid $1-million. What crimes did Oprah do for $3-billion, besides kill her own baby? Presumably her audience of crack whores have no problem with that, since they now murder 52% of their children.

Sure she's done things worth admiring. and she should be commended for that it's just that she seeks so much attention for what she does and me personally I prefer a more humble approach...there's an insincerity about Oprah that annoys me. do you know who I admire? everyday people who've overcome adversity. All the people affected by the floods who've selflessly helped others. All of the people who were travelling and changed plans to help flood victims etc etc.

I think it's mighty presumptious and somewhat invalidating to say she's done a lot more with her life than the people here. People I've chatted to from this forum have achieved amazing things and are infinitely admirable. they may not have Sh_t loads of money or a successful TV empire, but they've overcome some hefty obstacles and have amazing stories (you know who you are guys).

Sure it presumptuous to say that, but those people didn't make 50 billion dollars. In my opinion that puts Oprah up there as having done something worth while with her life, and sure there are some people here, on this forum who have done some amazing things on a small scale, but didn't have much of an impact on a large scale, and in the reality of life they are nothing but a blip on the radar.
