Ok requesting asylum... and hiding from my students. Can't they go just one day without a massive number of crisis/ catastrophes?? Were we this bad in high school?

Asylum? Well we do have this handy Insane Asylum sign attached to our thread... not sure that's what you had in mind.
As for the high school students... they do tend to be on the dramatic side. If I could remember that far back to my high school days I would guess that indeed we were that bad or possibly worse. MSA I praise your courage and bravery teaching high schoolers!!!!

Does anybody know where the cranberry sauce is hiding? Can't have a thanksgiving feast without the cranberry sauce. Don't know anybody who actually eats it but seeing it jiggle on a plate with the corrugation marks from the tin can it plopped out of is an essential element of the ritual sacrifice dinner.
