Thinking of moving off the edge.

Actually, just down the street, to a small-but-shiny apartment (shiny on account of being on the 11th floor ) with lower rent.

Move happens tomorrow, but if past experience has taught me anything there'll be delays in getting my phone and internet set up right, so don't expect me around for a few days.

Wish me luck.

Or, y'know, don't.

More, actually. Instead of just packing everything up and waiting for the movers, I have the option of bringing stuff over by hand (which'll make the actual move quicker, and prevent having to risk my "fragile" items to the box-dropping man-ape-gone-wrong things).

I half wish there was a "Jayne's Moving," just for that joke. . .

Well. . . Here I am.

Everything's shiny, though I'm without cable until Sunday.

I have an awesome view: I can see the Peace Tower (that big phallic part of the Parliament Buildings) to the north, a forest of construction cranes to the west, and part of the Ottawa U campus way off in the east.

Also, I need curtains.
