Double Stuf Oreos are a useful cure for many an ailment, I can attest. ;)
Sorry about the sickness Avery :( Hope you feel better soon.
Gee: a British Bake-off you say? Sounds like an exciting spectacle ^_^
Okay, Wednesday. Next Thursday begins the Durham Fair, which is perfect for the unwinding after a week of having much homework due. *rips off another page on countdown calendar*

Just put an offer in on a house...fingers crossed:)

Toes crossed.
Cold, wet toes. Stuffed into muck boots and forced to tromp around in the woods under an increasingly rained-upon body trying to find fungi for a lab project.
Poor, poor toes.
Barkeep! Hot Toddy ASAP, SVP!

Nice dry socks and warm slippers are always a good cure for cold wet toes :) Were you successful in your endeavor?
MsA: Yay!!! *crosses fingers*
Barkeep, the bf says he turned the heat on, but it's COLD in here! (I think this house is very leaky, it's old) Some hot chocolate would be nice for my numb fingers :P

I can't find numbers for that. Google has failed me.
Let us know if the house goes through! I want all details on housewarming parties

Can I just say that dating sites can be really good for the ego? Even the overly effusive compliments that make me laugh out loud at their absolute lameness.

Where has the week gone? Does the bartender have any drinks that can slow time to a reasonable pace?

Warm shower, wool socks, hot drink. It works.
I'm sucking down tea now, as the dampening and fly-nap have made me feel like I'm trying to come down with something. (Makes flies sleepy so you can get them to lie still long enough to look at them. VERY stinky, and clings to your clothes, skin, and hair for hours.)
We got what will hopefully be enough specimens for the fungi lab. I have a few more flies to work with for the other lab, maybe more by tomorrow morning before my class. I also have my first physics lab tomorrow. (Yayz teh fizzix.)
(Decides to get her own damned toddy..)

Lol, well at least you're all dry and non-chemical-ey now. Good luck in the labs!
*grabs another mug of something hot from the bar and wraps hands around it* Barkeep, I need something to cure procrastination please.

HUGS Rosie...sorry about the toes sweety. Did you get the fungi? ( ok that question sounds mildly inappropriate)
Hugs Rose - call the Student Union then. They can likely direct you to the right person:) What's with teh dating sites? You have a boyfriend...or is it just fun to see who's on there?
Housewarming Samhain!!!

Actually, no. Frank and I called it quits last month. I meant to tell you! There was so much else going on that I guess I haven't.
It was very non-dramatic, non-traumatic, and he and I are on very good terms. At this point he's much more relaxed in a friendship than he had been in the romantic relationship. It's all for the best.

Bummer on the guy not working out.
Yayz that you're taking it in stride and moving on!
(There's plenty more where he came from.)
Relax and enjoy the hunt.
I got fungi. We'll see what's left next week. Probably not much more than mush unfortunately...
We went apple picking today. Our biggest one was a Cortland that weighed in at just over 12 ounces.
(They're usually about half that I think..)
I can't WAIT to see the Jonagolds and Norther Spies! (One-apple pie, anyone?)
Mmmm. Baked apples tonight.
